I think it's just giving Gajeel some back story. He knew this guy way back when, the guy went too far, got arrested, and he felt Gajeel betrayed him. Gajeel saw he escaped and has gone after him as a personal vendeta. That's what i think
That can be possible too. But I personally think, that prisoner is Gajeel's friend when he was in Phantom Lord Guild.
Exactly, I was expecting a story based on before he joined FT. Still a good chapter though, looks like it'll be a fun read.

First it was translated as Rhodonite, which I thought would be some kind of metal. Then I saw it became Road Knight and now Lord Knight? Though I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be Road Knight

Actually Road Knight doesn't make any sense to me honestly. I think it is just MP messed up with the title. Thanx to MP. It seems like most of the Manga hosting sites got with 'Road Knight' without giving a thought.
Actually in Romaji, it is 'Rhodonite or Rodonaito'. I have talked to Variationa about how the translation would be after seeing ANN's article. Variationa said Rhodonite would be a preferable one rather than translating it into English.

OT - Yep. May be. But for a second I did't even thought about Mirajane using her transformation as Gajeel.
This might start his backstory in the form of narration either by himself or by the escaped prisoner.
