I find it very hard to believe Fairy Tail will ever defeat Acnologia, even if all the guilds team together. Hiro is gonna think of some random asspull or completely nerf Acno.

It won't be so random.

I can see all the dragon slayers synchronizing their magic or some other friendship powered stuff, and they'll defeat his spirit form. As for his physical form, they'll probably pull something like it can't exist without the spirit form, and it'll just disappear.

OT: the chapter didn't do it for me, felt like I was just reading it for the sake of it.

Lol, true. However, all of them just fought in a war so their magic and stamina must be weakened significantly(especially Natsu). Not to mention Acnologia can eat any element + the power boost he got from the time lapse.
