Acnologia got pushed into the Timelapse by the ship (steered by Anna and Ichiya)...

But I´m not really convinced everything is over since there are 9 chapters left. Seems a bit much for just the epilogue, so MAYBE there is a twist.

From what we can gather.... I will take it like this.... Mashima wants to write a new story, new character, new world. So, he decided to end the manga!. He is probably gonna keep the continuation of Fairy Tail in another mangaka's/Anime staff's hands!. And he don't cares!

I will really dislike it if this is the reason why Mashima decided to abruptly end the current arc despite all the build up he gave!. We are gonna see the end of Mashima's FT without Acnologia's back story?!. And no Rogue's Shadow?!. And no END?!. And no Gray's Devil Slayer build up?!.
