August wasn't affacted by the Magic because it doesn't work on virgins. Seeing how Irene was affacted she might be Erza's Mother after all.
It was nice to see that Jellal and Oracion Seiz lost to August. And Wendy seems to be a counter to Irene's Magic so I guess Erza and Wendy can defeat her.

August knew Rakheid had used his magic and we can't really see much of how his face is reacting due to his skin having changed color. We would need a close-up of his face to say for certain whether it affected him or not as there seem to be differences in how each person reacts on the magic.

This is one of those aspects of FT that I love, but haven't seen in a while. Namely thinking outside the box; doing something that's so absurd, unconventional or even taboo that other mangaka wouldn't think of. Within the context of FT it might just sound stupid and funny, however from an objective point of view it's quite a unique and dreadful ability. Being highly aroused really does not work well in conjunction within a battle scenario and being to aroused can indeed by harmful for your body. It's one of those things other similar series would never go.
How come it worked on the first master Mavis? She was only a child when she died? How is she not a virgin anymore? 0_o
