Well it looks like Makarov won't be coming back. Good. Not that I hate him but it was time for him to bow out like a boss the way he did. And he took roughly 80% of the Alvarez Army with him. Real Boss:scorps:

Nice interception by Erza. All that uber ice and fire flying around and she stops 2 mega punches with her bare hands and doesn't even stagger....just what is she made of? XD

Kinda disappointed that the majority of this chapter was focused on Natsu and Grey brawling with each other, so I'm glad that Erza stopped them (hopefully for good). It was however a nice quick-paced choreographed fight.

I was confused about Irene's statement that the twelve are still fine. So Makarov didn't take out Ajeel and Mirajane's Opponent?

OT: Chapter was trash to me.. Like everybody said, how is a majorly powered up Natsu and Gray in Demon mode stopped by erza? Like I hope that 1.) She is wearing a new armor that increases her defense by 100x OR....yeah thats it.... there is absolutley no reason why her hands should still be there.. This is why i say FT power scaling is SOOO off..

Apparently not, though I would take that statement with a grain of salt as Serena got manhandled by Gildartz while END whooped Neinhart and lets not forget that Serena, Whal Icht and the Reaper are Historia's of Neinhart. If he goes, they go so I can't imagine all of them came unscathed.

There was simply a time jump. It's not like Natsu and Gray are a 100 kilometers away and are trying to keep themselves hidden. Spending panels on Erza finding them is simply a waste, so most likely some time has passed since Makarov died in which Erza searched and found the two of them.

So Makarov has been dead for 2 chapters now, that is a huge deal for Fairy tail standards. Could it be ? A casualty during a war ?

But damn, how lackluster was that. Good old Makarov got 2 pages to show what he had. Hiro at least could've given him 1 chapter to rampage through the army and take down one of the twelve, and THEN use fairy law. Now he just took down 80% of the fodder army. What a waste. I would like it 100x better if a wizard saint shows his true potential to beat a strong enemy then a comical ending by a Lucy kick and an angle on her panties.

The Natsu and Gray fight was cool, the way Erza stopped it was absurd. Could've at least used some armor to block those punches.

Highlight of the chapter was Laxus, handled like a leader, boosted morale and payed respect to the old man. Too bad he had to do it in 3 panels. Hope he becomes the new leader.

If you look at Erza's hands, one seems to have been "shattered" by Gray and the other one had most of her flesh melted and severely burned.

It's not like "she's that powerful" she didn't do anything to oppress them or their power in any way. She simply stood infront of both, and as you can note from their expressions, they probably held back at some point upon realizing she was inbetween.

Also, Natsu's hand looks epic in the form of a black Dragon Claw in that panel.

Ezra pof knows no limits, she could've at least had the armor that defies logic but nope she is the embodiment of that armor now Zzz.

Decent chapter 4/5. Sad to see the master go but I hope he finally rests. Now there can and will be a new guild master, perhaps Lexus who seems more mature.

One is frozen and another is burned, so it's not like she's unharmed. However it's still remains a bit of a stretch for her to be able to block bare-handed a simultaneous assault of a demonized Natsu and Gray. It might be possible though that another power is at work here. The confrontation of Erza and Irene is approaching and Neinhart said at one point that his magic has no effect on her. This could be just interpreted that she has found away to counter it, but another possibility is that she has an inherent ability to nullify certain magic types or something. Irene is a high enchantress after all, meaning she deals with that kind of stuff.

These past events are so disappointing. Believe it or not, I actually believed this was going to be one of the best arcs in FT since it had the potential. I never seen potential wasted so easily in a single arc in anime/manga. I'm not exaggerating.

Erza wasn't unharmed so I think people are taking it too far. Trust me, this isn't me being biased since it's Erza.
