This week's Chapter cover featured the members of Raijinshu(Thunder God Tribe). In the cover image we can notice Evergreen holding the ball on her forefinger while Freed and Bickslow are resting. On the backside wall, we can notice few numbered circles which seems like that is a place where they struck the ball. The word 'struck' is written on the ball. I don't know what sorta game that is!. It doesn't seem like a basketball. Anyway, Good Chapter cover page this week.

Starting right at where it left off in last week's chapter, this chapter started with Mavis ordering to ring the bell to which everyone of the members in the Guild are warned that they are under-attack. We can notice Natsu & Happy responding to the alarming bell and Lucy complaining she was not ready yet. The moment right after Ajeel commencing the attack on Fairy Tail, he ordered his troops to launch attack on Fairy Tail only to find that they stopped by the barrier Freed put around the Magnolia. The series of attacks Ajeel's troops fired are illustrated through a very keen visual representation which are mainly moving towards the Guild Location.

Ajeel noticed the nature of that barrier, a rune magic, Jutsu Shiki. The mass of Ajeel troops attacks are such in a large scale that Freed is shown to be having an hard time maintaining his barrier. Mavis then later mentions that it was in fact in her range of predictions. Soon after that Mavis orders Warren to telepathically announce everyone to start "Operation D". Seems like Mavis planned something in ahead. She orders Dragon Flight Force and Osprey Force to launch an attack. We can see Bisca as the base of operation in the Osprey Force. Soon after that 'The Dragon Flight Force' arrives breaking through the warships. They proceed further on and destroys more ships in the process. Befitting for the trio of 'The Dragon Flight Force'. Laxus wasn't in the Dragon Flight force may be because he simply doesn't have an exceed for flight. Like as usual art is very well detailed with a highest use of the space in given manga panel.

While this is going on like this, the Osprey Force enters into the fight with it's fully Jupiter Cannon. Good to see old thing being brought again in the manga. As we all already knew it takes 15 minutes to charge the Jupiter Cannon. The angle at which the Jupiter Cannon is drawn by Hiro Mashima is awesome. Juvia wonders when did they got an hold on Phantom Lord's Jupiter Cannon. Bisca Connell then proceeds to fire the Jupiter Cannon which was rather easily deflected by Ajeel Rommul but it took out the entire fleet of troops. And then Gajeel decides that they should took down Ajeel all by themselves and lands on Ajeel's warship

I have to agree Gajeel's landing was Badass. As soon as they landed on the Warship they suffered motion sickness. In the middle of this serious battle this came off as a surprise and was hilarious. This isn't the first time Mashima did it. He did it way too many times. Good old times. Both Mavis and Makarov are in shock due to this scenario and Mavis, the fairy tactician says she forgot about it. It's okay nobody is perfect but this is a survival war. Due to this minor mistake it seems like the entire Operation D seems like failed but we will see. We can also see Ajeel ordering other bunch of warships to land. Right after when Ajeel grabs motion-sick Natsu, the prow of the ship has been cut off.

It was done by none other than the Fairy Queen, Titania, Erza Scarlet. Erza slices through all Ajeel's subordinates as she orders Happy, Carla and Lily to take care of the Dragon Flight Force. Ajeel becomes furious for what she has done and asks who is that with a very angry expression.This chapter ended with Erza simply answering that she will be the one who will cut Ajeel down for good and Evergreen saying kneel down before the Titania.

Final Verdict - Overall an above average chapter with a good narration of the fight scenes with almost visually very good detailed art with a good flow of dialogues & use of a well formed strategy of Dragon Flight Force and Osprey Force to counter Ajeel troops. All in all it is an action-packed chapter.

Regarding next chapter....it is titled as "Magnolia's Line of Defence"..... Just like how title sounds it might be about how Magnolia is going to defend against all of the Ajeel's attacks. Well, this is all this time. Next time in next week.
