I'm going to hold off the shipping boat as Mavis physically has always been a child and I find it difficult to believe that Zeref wants to revive Mavis because he loves her while she herself is fighting against him.

Good Chapter. This chapter felt like a complete narration of Lucy(from her book) about the events that are about to happen soon enough. I can see the theme of hope in this chapter. This doesn't felt like a celebration chapter but this is a mixture of celebration, hope, revising of the events that happened so far, and motivation to fight against the upcoming final battle or say that is how Lucy wrote this chapter in her book.
So we are finally getting near to the One Magic. What exactly was it?. I guess it is love+darkness, a combination of both. Magic was derived from it, including curses, right?. Lucy alone showed in the last panel of this chapter when Mavis starts talking about One Magic. There might be some connection to Lucy or hopefully Layla. I don't want Mashima to ignore that foreshadowing as a red-herring. Layla has to be included somehow in this arc or whatever.
According to what we learned in Zer0 chapter 13, Mavis became was dead(?) in year x697. So now we might be reading what happened in that year to Mavis.
Zeref is cursed that is for sure. But now Mavis too?. It might be referring to her being having a relationship to Zeref or something like that.

Mavis was cursed for using the magic 'law' i think
If magic was derived from one magic ,then i think it goes back to more than 400 years ago, since even in zeref's flashback they have magic, its possibly related to ankhserum too

Everything seems like connected to Ankhseram. He is the one who made Zeref as he is now by cursing him. >_>
Ofcourse it is. END was the one who created Curse power from Magic. Long, long ago all the Magic was one. That is One Magic as from what Mard Geer said in the tartarus arc.
Now let us take the words of What One Magic is.......I will post the CR scans here which I tool the screenshots of them when they yet to go vault. Actually I planned to talk about this topic on Wednesday along with that post of mine but since this has been brought up here....

Any thoughts, theories?.
This actually gives me an interesting idea.
Maybe the whole one magic thing will be key to stopping Zeref by breaking the curse on him, Natsu has to forgive his brother and help him defeat the god that cursed him and redeem Zeref (we all know this is coming).
A major point in this manga is the love between family members, and Natsu and Zeref without a doubt have the most complex family relationship in the entire series.
Or it is the key to saving Natsu when he becomes END, I have always thought that Lucy will be the one who saves Natsu, and her mother was always talking about the one magic.
Also if Mavis was close to Zeref maybe she knows that Natsu is END and isn't telling him to protect him.

I think its both, although i see the curse relevance here, end made curse out negative emotions which probably indicates the negative or the dark side of magic, and then there are magic like warrod's that can generate life which is positive side
zeref represents the dark side, and mavis represents the light side

Well, we aren't for sure what Ankhseram is?. Mashima yet to go deep in to this subject.
Saving Natsu?. You mean by using Fairy Heart? or One Magic?.
Zeref and Mavis, The Dark and Light. Xd. Wasn't Black Magic, a type of curse like that?. or is it the true form of the Magic. lol confused all the way.

Yep I hope so.
As for Layla, the source of One Magic is from love. Mavis and Zeref also sought the One Magic. Something tragic would have happened to them which caused Mavis death and made Zeref learn the value of life on that fateful 'day'.
So if that unknown One Magic is the source for all the magic then Curse Power, normal Magic, including Celestial Spirit Magic do originate from it, don't they?. hmm...now it is becoming typical..smh >_< Anyway I am expecting some twists in the upcoming chapters.
Don't confuse Ankhseram's Black Magic to Ankhseram.
Ankhseram Black Magic is the curse Zeref got.
Ankhseram is the God of Life and Death.
For that to happen......Well, what is Mavis curse to begin with?.

I doubt that. Fairy Heart, and thus Fairy Tail, are AE's target, however you can't really separate that from the rest of Ishval. This became clear when they tried to invade before. Probably the only ones who knew the purpose of that invasion was FT, but the rest of the continent was automatically involved because it was an invasion of their countries.
Based on what we have seen and heard, several of these 12 Shields aren't going to bother with the details and just marsh straight through, which will force the rest of Ishval to react. They can't really turn a blind eye when an army of tens of thousands of mages walks by.
Also one of the Four Gods of Ishval is a former FT member and the masters of both Quatro Cerberus and Blue Pegasus are likewise former FT members. Both Lamia Scale and Sabertooth then have very good relationships with FT and FT has always been incredibly popular. I will leave out in the upon how exactly this all will work together, whether it be a huge unified army of guilds or something else, but that this all would only involve FT, is highly doubtful.

All this One Magic talk, its funny how different characters throughout the series gave different definition of the 'One Magic'. Now, We all know, in our world, if there is light, then there is darkness too, it's complimentary to each other, One's existence is impossible without the other one, Now, i think, The One magic is derived from a fusion of Light and Darkness/ Love and hatred, that is why its definition fits for all the cases.
Mavis and Zeref's relationship will be a key factor in defining the One Magic, And it makes sense to me atleast, If light and darkness are such powerful forces, then their fusion should give birth to an even more op force u.u

After re-reading the chapter i like it more and more.
The speech of Natsu was great. I like that he said he's also scared and that they have to fight to live and not the usual shonen shit we have to help people because they were nice to us or save the world.
Can't wait to see Hiro giving us an awesome war. I wanna see all guilds against those bastards!
