I think Natsus arm might most likely be some traces of end appearing.
Whats interesting about it though was that in the chapter when he was fighting or confronting Brandish his arm seemed to react to her power. This is the first time its seen bandaged because he wore a coat over it previously or we just never paid attention to it.
Either way, in the beginning of this new arc he had not gripped his arm like that at all despite having fought a "God of War" and those other fodder so he most likely was reacting to her power or his END power were reacting to his rage?

Back to the chapter. It was okay. Im just totally lost with the power scaling right now. Natsu was basically god tier a few weeks ago and now the crew was toyed with.

Yeah it's quite odd. In the end it were Natsu and the others who first beat up their soldiers, but Brandish let them all off with warning while presumably killing Martin to balance out him beating up Mest. Not matter how you look at it, FT got away with things very easily.
I also find it interesting she keeps talking about 12 mages while seemingly excluding her. There should be 12 shields, so there should be 11 more mages of her level, not 12. So does this imply that the emperor, or someone else, is also highly powerful? And I wonder whether the huge mage all the way on the right side of the panel with the shadows of the 12 Shields might be Aria, the one who was the strongest of the Element 4 of Phantom Lord. I've been wanting to know for ages what happened to him.
Can't we just have Natsu go dragonize E.N.D. lightning flame mode and woop all of 'em at once? That way it's more enjoyable.

You're right it is quite weird, I mean why not just finish them with the help of her comrade if need be. She didnt have to to give Erza and Lucy back to them, and then just try to take on Gray and Natsu. There must be another factor in all of this; what also makes me think this is if there are 12 others with her strength FT atm don't stand much of a chance. Maybe Makarov isn't in as much danger as we think and has some kind of hold over them, which they would rather not deal with, and a condition is to leave FT be.
And yeh I just read the MS version and she does say 12 others so I guess she could be including the emperor, which is why there are only 11 shadows we see in that picture, as the emperor isn't part of the shield. Also the guy on the far right could be Aria as they have a similar shape, and it would be nice to see someone from he past but I'd rather it not tbh because his power was quite large part that arc, and I'd rather something new.
Considering that she allowed the Fairy Tail team A to walk away and wasn't looking for a fight, further emphasizes that there is more to this arc then a defeat the evil empire story.
Now the other issue is Natsu's arm, I think that whatever is under that bandage is how he can use Igneel's flame.
I get the feeling the other Spriggan members are going to have 1 of the first 11 letters of the greek alphabet in their names, since Brandish already has the twelfth letter.
And her letter has something to do with water, so Im guessing she's possibly going to be Juvia's and/or Gray's opponent

That space magic of Brandish reminded me of kaguya.
But team natsu has improved too and they did not show their attacks on the enemy yet, so we can still hope that they are match for the 12... who knows?!?!?!? team natsu were just holding back and the enemy is showing their skills blindly, i have a feeling that this will also be same like previous fights...
Wow 6/5 chapter. Brandish put FT in their place. Wondering what's up with natsu arm. Funny how gajeel ended up on levy, didn't something like that happen to Lucy and natsu? Still laughing at Lexus being with blue peagus lel
Not a kind of start I have expected to see in this chapter but the sudden transition from the happy-fun-warm hot springs to the heart-wrenching-intense- reveal is what made this chapter awesome. One thing I gotta love most about FT is it's incredibly fast pacing without harming the narration of the story. Two chapters ago team-B went to search the Laxus and others and now they are already there with the exception of Laxus. So Raijinshuu joined Blue Pegasus?. I didn't expected this. Guess they have to join some guild to work and earn money for their needs after FT Guild is disbanded.
The colour spreads were neat and it is started with the fanservice. I love how mashima weighs the fanservice in FT for both Males and Females equally at some times. lol at Levy teasing Juvia by saying 'Gray is here'. Juvia is such a Gray fangirl. So Gajeel had a eye on the hot springs too. I was surprised at seeing Ichiya popping out of the water suddenly.Xd. So now Blue Pegasus has their own hot spring too. And it is named as 'Pegasus fooling Grounds'.lol. So Bickslow and Freed are now the aces of the Blue Pegasus. I wonder how strong they have became?.
Looking at how Gajeel is acting he knew the whereabouts and what each of the Raijinshuu are doing all along. lol Juvia and her weird fantasies Hibiki,Ren,Eve and Laxus. Xd/. This is funny. The panels after that are just....I guess it is a treat for the Gajeel and Levy fans. And again Juvia started her fantasy imagining herself and Gray in that of situation. Let me think how many times we had such a moments in this manga.....3 times?. First time Natsu and Lucy in GMG arc, Jellal and Erza in the OVA and now Gajeel and Levy in this arc. While the team-B is having fun at the hot springs, team A is enjoying the reverse of what team-B enjoyed. There are also some dialogues that I want to address here about the first 8 pages of the this chapter but I guess....erhm...no!.
Coming to Caracol Island.....I have observed a lot of hints and foreshadowing Mashima did in this chapter but at the very sane time they can be considered as red-herring also. At first I wasn't much pleased about the design of the 12th Spriggan but this chapter completely changed my views about Brandish. So seems like Brandish is stronger than Makarov from what Gray is implying. Brandish attitude is surprising in this chapter. Even though she knew all about the FT and Natsu & co are the members the spy is searching for, she left them like them be. Is it possible that Brandish was the spy Natsu and team are currently looking for?. Well I guess we will find it out soon enough. Only if Mest isn't unconscious, we might knew something about it.
Like many of us suspected this chapter hinted there is something hidden behind the Natsu's bandage. What it might be?. A bit of END power or a new power that Natsu got in training. If I remember correctly there is a bandage on Gildarts Right arm at the very same position now Natsu had after this one year timeskip. Is it a coincidence or purposely done?. We all knew Natsu met Gildarts when he went on the journey to become stronger. There might have something happened in this one year timeskip. I wonder how and where Gildarts is?.
lol at marin trying to shift blame towards Natsu and Gray. Brandish seemed very nonchalant at first but later she showed her temper by raising the Caracol Island above the water level and later on making it disappear. I don't think it is exactly disappeared but the way how mashima illustrated, it looks like the island was shrunk in the size. It might be the foreshadowing mashima sensei did to hint the nature of magic Brandish possess. Brandish sets her foot on the flat surface but when she made the island disappear her foot are clearly seen to be on the land which looks like mini Caracol Island when we view the island over the top. Observe carefully.......

Brandish was standing on the mini Caracol Island. That very same place where brandish was standing is similar to the complete view of how Caracol Island looks like. To me it looks like she shrunk the Island. If it is true then it was a another brilliant foreshadowing done by Mashima Hiro Sensei. The way how it was foreshadowed I think the nature of Brandish magic has something to do with shrinking or along those lines.
Now the way how Brandish acted all along in this chapter knowing the fact that they are the FT members and are here for the spy and to infiltrate Albareth Empire leads to the new possibilities and questions her goals and thoughts. Is she a spy or one of those shounen villains who act like that?. Actually she delivered the information that the spy has to deliver to FT about Makarov. Seems interesting to me. What is more interesting is Brandish said "to avoid more drama I am going to report the spy and any who made contact as dead" despite not killing any one of them. This one helluva of a hint or it might be the red-herring too.
Also there are 12 wizards of her level in Albareth including herself which was further confirmed by Lucy saying......
