im not making fun to be honest, i liked fairy tail. ...what im trying to do is to say my criticisms about the series, i do have criticisms about one piece and naruto as well (even tokyo ghoul) and i say it on their forums.

but at least their bad points dont outweigh the good. what bugs me is the fairy tail fans who refuse to accept the thing about fairy tail being terrible...and thats why mashima keeps on dishing double chapters because fairy tail fans are ok with that even with little to no plot logic full of one shots and fanservice that are annoyingly distracting now. (mind you, im ok with fairy tail fanservice before, but its gotten to a point that its too much)

I don't know why this irrational hate for FT is emerging with this chapter.
Let us go point by point:
1. This is a short bridge arc which was to show rebuilding of FT and the fruits of their training. Which it successfully did.
There was no emphasis given on villain which meant those were not any serious threat now compare it with GMC or Tatarus arc villains were well established with their characters fully developed just because it was named Avatar it doesn't mean they were serious threats so no unnecessary argument should be done about it.
Moreover Hiro was gracious enough that he sped it up with 2 chapters per week so that it ends fast and we reach the serious arc soon.

2.Buuuuut it's about friendship and no deaths happen in it and good guys win and and....: Which is the cornerstone of many many shounen manga, especially battle shounen(save a few). Also since it is a mainstay of Weekly shonen Magazine their main selling point their main manga(especially before NNT) so a manga which is a main point of their magazine a kids magazine can't be as dark as berserk or depressing as a Asano mana. It's for kids it's fun it's enjoyable with great world lore, uniqueness.
So it's light hearted.

3.Natsu one shots all: I don't know when will this meme end, he was shown vulnerable countless time in previous arc in the fight against Gildarts. Many many times. If you want the protagonist to lose than you're in the wrong genre. Also my previous posts hold here too. He is now being developed you can see it for past 2 arcs.

4.Fanservice: If someone has problems with this then they have not read/seen ecchi manga. Moreover it's limited and never interferes in the fights or the plots much. So it's not a distracting element unless you look for it specifically, if that's the case I suggest prison school.

5.Plot: Hiro has made an excellent world with excellent lore+enough uniqueness. The plot very well brings it out and is perfectly suited. Every arc has been better than the last.

6.But biggest problem is those who complain complain just for the fun of it or to start a flamewar.
None of the people hating will name some superior manga from different genre like Space Brothers or Welcome to NHK or Buddha or Blame just unnecessary bashing. In Fact a person who respects other genre or loves manga will move on or read some manga rather than bashing. It if someone hates something too much that it's cringe worthy for them then don't read it why to destroy fun of those who read it. It's something you get for free if you can't appreciate it then why bash it unnecessarily.


If someone hates it this much then move on read the gener you like baseless bashing is bad and terrible.

In short FT is a fun manga which gives enough joy to read it.

I think it might be Jose who is under that mask.It would be good if is it him but I can be wrong tho.Alok said in chapter 432 in last page that "he expected the outcome of this battle as of now...".It might be someone who knows Natsu and FT.Jose it might be if you ask me.He holded grudge against FT in past and also fought a war against them.It is only natural for a person like him to fall for more darkside and obsessed for power to the point where he sacrificed his face for Ikusatsungi.That is what the serious development Mashima sensei might be talking about.

Or I may totally wrong.Anyway my just little theory from the foreshadowing mashima did in chapter 432,last page.It might be red-herring to confuse readers tho.

Now that I think Alok(Priest) is pretty powerful with that Ikusatsunagi magic he possess.If it wasn't Natsu whom he faced it would have been tough fight I think.Gray was unfazed by Ikusatsunagi's sword attack unlike erza and others.I think Gray can handle that monster easily as well.
