Short, but good chapter. Interesting about END: it doesn't actually need face to be used in order for E.N.D. to be resurrected, they just want to take extreme advantage of it.

Not a theory just a Prediction!Laxus was off-panel'd way long enough in this arc.He needs to o something badass yet.I am hoping that will be Mard Vs Laxus.Also if you look at the situation more deeply it is certain that Natsu can't defeat Mard geer alone.Yeah,so I am betting my hopes on Laxus arrival>_<

Well, they did manage to get a sample of the blood which was needed to cure him though at this point he should still be out of commission due to the anti magic particle thingie.

At this point in manga,I can't sit on one view about who is END ? Natsu ? Maybe not?Also the END-ish dress Natsu is wearing now & no scarf around Natsu's neck

Since Upon asked what happened on 7,777 ?Igneel said he will explain to Natsu..You think there will be any connection with Layla ?
Next chapter's Title is "Fire Dragon's Steel Fist",a Mettalicana+Igneel Combo ?

I enjoyed the interactions between Natsu and Igneel. Chapter was, overall, mainly a set up chapter, basically. Now we'll get to see Natsu vs Mard and possibly END very soon as well.

I think this was build up chapter, good but kinda boring.~_~
Probably because I was expecting a bit more from this one, at least more explanation about Mard Gear, just like Scorps said.

I wonder what Marde Geer meant when he said the plan had been revised... What was the original plan?
Why did Igneel choose to come out now...

Great chapter. I liked the look on every ones face when they saw Igneel, they were like "WTF a flame dragon". Now I see where Natsu gets that phrase "I'm all fired up", from Igneel "Now I'm burning up". I think that Igneel is hiding something about E.N.D.. Because he told Natsu to get the book and bring it to him and that he should never open it.

Let me add my thoughts to this theory.
I think END and Natsu are two personalities of same entity. And Natsu vs END’ll be the battle of will’s but not strength. As far as strength goes, I don’t think Natsu is strong enough to challenge Mard let alone END but Igneel is confident about Natsu being able to handel END. So, I my guess is that Igneel believes that Natsu’s feelings/will are strong enough to overcome his own darkness/Evil side of him(I.e. END).

2) Zeref’s statement: Zeref said that either Natsu or END’ll meet him which means that only one of them can meet him. So,If Natsu able to overcome END (the dark side of him)then Natsu’ll be the one to meet Zeref or If END takes over Natsu then END’ll be the one to meet Zeref.

3) Statement of Silver: END is a fire type daemon. I don’t think any kind of explanation is needed here.
