wasnt zeref the guy that was 400 year old with memory lost. and when he regained it he used "insert that black drago name here" to kill everyone but because of mavis fairytail and everyone on the island survived. zeref wasnt on the island i guess he is the mysterious power roaming around looking for natsu to defeat him i assume.

I don't think there is another manga with as many gardarobe changes as Fairy Tail. Erza is the perfect example XD

Back to the chapter. Lucy really did improve and it was no longer trusting on the summonings to save her butt, she actually had a strategy. Summoning two at the same time is impressive as well as the combo attack. As soon as she revealed she had hair magic I know the crab guy had to come out.

Hope that Lucy doesn't take a dive next chap

5/5 loved this chapter. Lucy's improved a lot, right from the start of the match Flare had that worried look on her face *drools*

And that combo was pretty amazing and unexpected, but I don't know how that one actually worked. And just like a previous poster mentioned, when it was revealed that Flare uses her hair as a weapon I knew that the crab guy had to be summoned. I just hope She's not like that other mage who uses his hair as a weapon 'coz if Lucy summons aquarius then it'll probably just boost Flare's power.

Damn Flare looks creepy... her eyes and aexpression make her look more insane than Chrona from Soul Eater!

I was surprised by Lucy's improvement, she was really strong and she can summon two spirits at the same time! That attack by Taurus and Scorpio was certainly powerful (take that insane b!tch!). But of course, there had to be a trap... and the next chapter is called "the noble loser" so.... we can guess where this is going, right?

I get the feeling that after she "loses", Lucy will pass by Natsu looking down in defeat, almost crying, as people scream how weak FT is... like Gray did when he lost...
