Crazy twist. Never expected him to be zeref but i don't think its the real embodiment somehow :/ its not how i expected zeref to be and Hades seems familiar... but with the tag Hades, I'm guessing he's strong... Possibly Makarov's level...

Zeref knows Natsu O_O I wonder what that means, Natsu doesn't seem to remember him at all. Was Igneel Zeref in disguise? I thought Zeref was "sleeping" how the hell did he wake up? Zeref, also, doesn't seem evil. A great twist to the plot indeed.
Also, it looks like Grim Heart dark guild will be a villans for this arc.

If I remember correctly, Natsu acquired 3 "items" from the Fire Dragon:

His Nails, which give him the power to summon fire to his punches and kicks.
His Breath, obvious
and his Scarf, made of scales, which allows him to absorb the magic
I think he aborbed Zeref's magic, which I bet it's has ancient as Dragon's

awesome! But now I think I'm sure. Zeref learned black magic from the black dragon that Gildarts fought with. I bet Zeref is a dragonslayer and that's the connection with Natsu.
Awesome chapter! Hiro deserves a lot of credit for this 3 chapters. With so few time, make an amazing twist! We can expect a lot of this arc!

Awesome :T_T: though it's quite confusing. Mest went to that island to find something. However he couldn't possibly know that the death wave kid was there as that kid couldn't have been there himself for a long time. Based on Mest's reaction I would say the kid being there was just a coincidence and that he was searching for something else, which is connected to the kid. Maybe the key to wake up Zeref or something as they still say that he's sleeping.

I wonder if it Natsu (in a previous life or something) beat Zeref or locked him away, along with other dragon slayers (that would explain that old age joke). Maybe even that Fairy Tail was originally a group that was opposing Zeref.
This stuff could be indicated that Igneel (who knows about Zeref till a certain degree) gave that scarf to protect Natsu. Though this is all just some speculation. But considering Natsu has no clue who the kid is and he himself deems that only Natsu can "break him".

Not really. His entire body has been changed to the constitution of a dragon, not only his nails and breath (btw it are his lungs). It's also his nose, skin etc.
The only gift is his scarf. So that "3 items thing" doesn't exist.

And these 3 are very strong when they are serious especially Gildartz and i think we still cannot see Gildartz in a serious fight yet

anyways Awesome chapter cant wait too hear more about that black scarf ( i guess the scarf protected natsu against zeref's Black magic ) So Somehow Igneel must have know this...

So this was the Reason that Hiro released 3 chapter in one week....He brought the long waited Villian into action......I was WTH when i came to know that Zeref is that strange guy.......and i dont know whether mest was smiling or shocked knowing the presence of Zeref...... I thought he might be some creepy looking old bag........

All the rumours heard of Zeref seem to be false now......He do not look like a bad guy at all....and he has no control over his Magic.....or is it a plot to bring in Fairy Tail.....A lot of Doubts wander in my mind after this Chapter.....

i think he is stilll sleeping inside that boy
after a couple of time he will be awakened and the evil zeref awakes
