To go into more detail. The more chakra you have, the more you have to use to keep it up. Naruto is fueling a high powered Bijuu cloak, so he has to constantly fuel that along with the techniques he uses. Therefore, he should run out fairly soon.
Oh and stars create energy through fusion of hydrogen into helium. But I dumbed it down to burning for the dumb people on this site
Makes no sense. By that logic, if someone with large chakra reserves uses a sustained technique (such as a mode, the Lightning armor, etc.) began his technique at the same time as someone with lower chakra reserves, both of their techniques would end at the same time. Which makes
absolutely no sense, as then what's the point of having high chakra reserves in the first place?
Now, what you're forgetting is a concept known as chakra
control; someone is able to control their chakra output into a technique, rather than throwing a large amount into it. I believe this concept was explained by Kakashi when talking to Naruto about Shadow Clones; that someone with poor chakra control (like Part I Naruto) can only create so many clones because of his levels of chakra control, but someone with higher chakra control (like Part I Sakura) can create more clones using the same amount of chakra. It has nothing to do with their chakra reserves, but their control of how chakra is used. If we both have containers of oil, and a flame in front of us, and are told to keep the flame going with only the oil, who's fire will last longer? The one who throws all his oil on at once, or the one who releases a small, steady stream onto the flame.
Now, I may be getting off tangent here, and I'd like to point that out myself before you do it (as I've been reading through your posts and have come to the conclusion that you enjoy being right, and think highly of yourself and your opinions). You're looking at this whole Chakra System by taking out Chakra Control and looking solely at Chakra Reserves. If you remove something from an equation without compensating for it later (for example, in algebra, if you take out "X" randomly instead of solving for it), your answer will be off. Without chakra control, yes, someone with a large chakra reserve would use it up just as quickly as someone with a small chakra reserve. However, people with the amount of chakra to perform such powerful techniques, 99 times out of 100 have chakra control to allow them to perform these technique for sustained periods of time.
Your fire analogy is a little too far off the mark; instead of chakra being like fire, chakra is like your bodies physical energy. Instead of burning, jutsu is like a push-up. Now, I tell you and a professional body builder to do push-ups for as long as you can with no break. He's a professional, probably with large arms, has done push-ups for a long time; if you last longer than him, something's terribly wrong. Because he naturally has more physical energy than you to do push-ups, he'll be able to do them longer. This is normal chakra usage. But say that same body-builder, with natural physical energy, never works out, never tries to work his muscles and make himself strong. You two may very well finish at the same time. This is Chakra Reserves; larger ones wearing themselves out quicker. But because the body-builder has been training himself, has taught his body the proper way to position his hands in relation to his body for a push-up, and has toned his muscles for years, he can do push-ups far longer than you can. This is Chakra Control; the proper use of one's chakra to its optimal point.
