facts about minato & tobi's fight

This thread fails on multiple levels. First of all Minato beat Tobi fear and square, and forced him to retreat. Second of all he could have lived by sealing the fox in his wife and allowing her to die, but he choose to give it to naruto to stop Tobi in the future. Read the manga

If Tobi has planned well in advance for years to accomplish his goal then Minato has also planned well just in minutes to stop Tobi from achieving his goal by making his own son into jinchuriki and village hero.

Also coward villain is nothing but trash so its waste to compare such a waste Tobi with Minato.

Talking about the facts, Tobi didn't force Minato for death but Minato sacrificed himself for stopping Tobi's plan in future which indicates that Minato is way far ahead in intelligence.

Tobi was not able to kill Kushina even after extracting 9 tails the strongest and most cunning tailed beast. So enjoy the show...

Just to throw in my 2 cents about this whole "cause and effect" thing by bringing a real world example. When Japan bombed pearl harbor involving the US in WW2, it was because of our aid that the Allies won in the european campaign as well as the pacific campaign. And Tobi killing his wife doesn't prove anything, he kidnapped her in his absence, that only proves that he was a coward.

Oh and Minato defeated Tobi whether you agree or not, so deal with it.

I totally agree with you, Minato defeated Tobi in almost every aspect. He bested him in a one on one fight, dealing a critical blow by using his intelligence and observational awareness of how Tobi's abilities work. He then used that knowledge to release his hold over the kyuubi and then still manage to send a huge Beast mode bomb away with this abilties, and he still sealed the fox and saved his son. The only thing that Tobi managed to do was run away, and start planning for the next attack.

Don't get me wrong Tobi is extremely powerful as well, but in this instance he was bested. PLan and simple. Minato is not overrated, in fact more ninja's need to be like him. He has no kekki gen kai to rely on and he's still epic.

During the fight with tobi minato did quickly figure out tobi technique (smart man). Yet during the very next move tobi figured him out but got countered and hit. that was the end of their fight but tobi had already basically killed minatos wife, and the biju tobi unleashed would in the end kill minato. so how is it that minato gets praised for such a epic fail? i understand folks like the char,but facts are facts. 1. extracting the biju from a jinchuriki = dead ryt, but it is exceptional to kushina coz she's still alive after kurama was taken out which on the other hand other jinchurikis died, so how did tobi basically killed kushina? i think your the one who's lacking facts. did you read the part where kabuto explained that the uzumakis have exceptional chakras?

2. so your basically saying the goal of tobi for how many years was to unleash kurama and kill minato? if that is tobi could have killed him while minato was young ryt?

3. he saved the entire village, stored kurama in his son for the upcoming catastrophe, stored some of kushinas chakra to naruto to help him later. minato for 3 points or maybe more, while tobi planned to destroy konoha and failed to do so and ran away to plan again = true epic fail.

i just based on YOUR facts so try to defend it if you can. if you cannot then u yourself is one epic fail. xDD

as i said before and will say for the last time, minato did not win a fight he died in and so did his wife. i never said tobi himself killed minato so don't put words in my mouth please. Tobi's actions were the catalyst for minato basically being forced to commit suicide. tobi killed the fourths wife when you think about it lol. It is obvious minato is skilled, i never doubted that. but when you put the fight into perspective minato is strong as H** but greatly overrated. Minato has only shown us that he can send objects to other special kunai, and he uses seals for speed. his reaction time is great but his raw speed with out justu is unknown.

You want facts:
Tobi DID NOT KILL KUSHINA. Maybe she wouldve died because of the extraction. But she didnt die instantly, she was just weakened. Kyuubi and the deathreaperseal actually killed her.

Kyuubi did never kill minato. (Unleashing a tailed beast is not the same as killing someone) Minato freed kyuubi from tobi and it was minatos wish to sacrifice himself to save his child. He could teleport kyuubi far away, but he didnt. It was his own decision.

Fail? No. Thats a FACT. He defeated Tobi, and sealed kyuubi, saved the village and his son. In fact the only thing he couldnt do was to protect kushina.

He beat Tobi and took Kurama from Tobi's control making it not Tobi's power anymore. That was when Tobi lost.

Then an entirely new fight began between Minato Kushina and the Nine Tailed Fox, Minato considering varying factors such as the threat Kurama posed to Konoha as it was in the process of forming a TBB, Tobi posed and the fact that his wife may never see her son grow up used up almost all his chakra to teleport it, used Dead Demon Consuming Seal to split Kurama and the Eight Trigrams Seal to seal it in his so then to protect the boy he got stabbed.
Imagine if it was just a straight fight between Kurama and Minato, where he can blast the beast's attacks back at it with Space Time barrier. Where Minato will have more than the tiny chakra he used to seal half of the beasts power and still had chakra left to put in Naruto so that he can talk to him. The fight will undoubtedly go to Minato.
