my argument was not pointless because i clearly fu*#ng said tobi did not kill them himself. but he was the catalyst for their death and he was since he started the ball rolling down hill. the only people he killed was kushina those anbu and old folks. everything else was a direct result of his actions. yes minato hit him once and took the biju after. but in the end minato lost way more than tobi did. hence why tobi is alive and still going at it and minato is dead.

yeah from a villain's perspective, he did aiight. Then again what exactly did Tobi gain out of it? What were his goals? 1.Getting hold of the kyuubi and 2.destroy the hidden leaf. He did not succeed in any of that. Minato took away the kyuubi and saved the village. From that perspective. Tobi failed his mission and Minato successfully defended the village, despite the heavy price. Even from a ninja point of view, Tobi failed on that night.

as i said before and will say for the last time, minato did not win a fight he died in and so did his wife. i never said tobi himself killed minato so don't put words in my mouth please. Tobi's actions were the catalyst for minato basically being forced to commit suicide. tobi killed the fourths wife when you think about it lol. It is obvious minato is skilled, i never doubted that. but when you put the fight into perspective minato is strong as H** but greatly overrated. Minato has only shown us that he can send objects to other special kunai, and he uses seals for speed. his reaction time is great but his raw speed with out justu is unknown.


During the fight with tobi minato did quickly figure out tobi technique (smart man). Yet during the very next move tobi figured him out but got countered and hit. that was the end of their fight but tobi had already basically killed minatos wife, and the biju tobi unleashed would in the end kill minato. so how is it that minato gets praised for such a epic fail? i understand folks like the char,but facts are facts. I have no favs i just enjoy the show as a whole

Minato took the biju back that's all. to defeat a person you had to stop him, the damage was already done and tobi got away to come a fight another day. minato and his wife died from the chain of events that tobi set off. I don''t see how anyone can say minato won anything. sure the village was saved (many people died)

Agreed thus far. I think that they both lost. My point is that minato lost more and tobi did fail in what he set out to do. I never said he did not, yet tobi for the moment still has a chance to see his plans threw. i think overall he walked away with more from that night then the fourth did which i why i give him the win. For the fourth to have so much hype tobi easily set off events that made minato look not as strong as talked about. not to mention as far as we know tobi did that all by himself.

i read them and all you did was repeat what i already gave minato his credit on. i am however going to say the guy who's wife died and forced to commit suicide (it was a choice because of the situation he was forced into by tobi's actions) can never claim victory. No one ever doubted that minato was able to save the day, but he lost more than tobi did in that encounter. yet you are still trying to give minato the win when he died and family became broken? lol i don't get that? yes he stopped tobi's plan i never said he did not, sure he is skilled. but tobi is alive for the moment and minato is long gone.

You could say minato giving the biju to naruto is minato being the catalyst (that word means the base for everything that is built or derives from the source) for tobi's downfall, provided naruto is the one to kill tobi in the end (i am sure he will be). It's like you guys want to make me seem like i am bashing minato when all i did was put in perspective who lost more that night. I can care less why minato killed himself the point is he was put into a situation where someone made the great fourth hokage take his own life in battle.
