The only limit is on how much you can control. Chakra control is the key factor. Last time I checked, Sasuke has hagoromo level chakra control. Hagoromo can handle SM and Rikudo senjutsu. Sasuke can too. This is simplest I can make it.

Dude. Sage mode training is irrelevant to this discussion. Manga has never stated that is a requirement to handling SM. The only requirement that has been stated is chakra control. If somebody was already a chakra control god, they'd be able to handle it. sheesh

You are being wilfully dense, chakra control has got nothing to do with it, you need to have sage mode training to handle natural energy.

Sakura and tsunade also have chakra control, can they handle sage mode chakra like jiraiya.

Curse Seal = Senjutsu, there is a 90% chance that the user dies. Sasuke in Part 1 couldn't control the Curse Seal, at least until Part 2.

In Part 2 Sasuke mastered the Curse Seal to a level he can do partial transformation and not have any side effects of the Curse Seal like in Part 1. Sasuke in the war was able to use Jugo Senjutsu chakra on his Susano without side effects and that was thanks to his experience to the Curse Seal.

We never seen Hashirama train for Sage Mode, yet he has Sage mode. We don't know what animal even taugh Hashirama that type of Sage Mode he uses.

It can't be Frog Sage mode and Dragon Sage Mode since Hashirama looks nothing like those Sage Mode.
