xD

It's impossible for them to get their characters back, universal still has the Hulk, Sony still has Spiderman and Venom and everything. And this article says that even if Disney buys Fox they may not get the F4 cus they are like shared between Fox and some other thing or something.

Imagine if DC had sold all their characters and people had created franchises out of them, and they tried to get them back people wouldn't want monopoly, even if Marvel gets the X-men they have already built a cinematic universe that doesn't really work with mutants.

At this point I couldn't care less what happens to fantastic four. Honestly I don't even care what happens to the X-Men - both those franchises have nothing but mediocre at best films. Only film franchises that Fox controls that I worry about (due to Disney) are Deadpool, Alien, Predator, and basically every other one-off gritty/R-rated films that Fox has distributed.

Well, Deadpool is also part of the X-Men universe.

OT: I don't want Disney buying every Marvel hero out there. Give them the Hulk and F4 since they already have the former in their universe while the latter is currently a dead franchise. X-Men should be kept separate as they seem to be going down a more violent, experimental route (Deadpool, Logan, New Mutants) and I don't want Disney ruining it with their family friends gig.

I think at this point Deadpool has established itself as it's own universe. It fits absolutely nowhere in the XMen "continuity" (lmao) and is a drastically different tone than the XMen films.
