No it wasn't Naruto was a lot weaker than Sasuke at this point, how can you deny what the manga showed us and what even Naruto said? If you still believe that SM Naruto>MS Sasuke than do so because not even the manga and facts can convince you otherwise.
Only actual feats will convince me, you just keep posting that scan of Naruto saying he couldn't beat Sasuke even though you don't provide a proper reason. Naruto was in no way weaker than Sasuke at that point, if anything Sasuke was weaker. What would Sasuke's counter be to Frog Song then?
If those words of Sasuke mean something like that to a person than this person lacks reading complrehension. Sasuke didn't mean that in a physical way and everyone should know this.

Pain was weakened and Naruto had a lot of intel and prep. Yes, Sasuke would've been better off facing pain than Naruto. Also, Naruto doesn't work like A>B>C so even if MS Sasuke would lose to Pain it wouldn't mean shit.

Nope, MS Sasuke would have lost a lot earlier even if he had the exact same amount of intel and prep and even if pain was just as weakened in the Naruto vs Pain fight.
