All his huge power ups where handed too him by other people, he didn't really have to work hard to obtain them.
For example:

-Orochimaru gave him curse mark, without it he would be too weak to compete against Naruto in the valley of the end.

-Itachi sacrificed his life so that Sasuke could unlock his Mangyeko Sharingan. Itachi tried to play the villain just to give his brother the gift of power. Itachi also removed the curse mark for him so that Orochimaru won't be able to take over his body.

-Tobi implanted Itachi's eyes to Sasuke so that he won't turn blind and unlock a new powerup--EMS. All Sasuke did was lay in the operating table, while receiving this huge-ass powerup.

Unlike Naruto who has to go thru life threatening training like loosing his hands when he was learning Rasenshuriken, Sage mode with the risk of him turning to a stone statue, and taming Kurama with the risk of loosing his mind to the tailed beast, Sasuke had it pretty easy in life.

When sasuke got CM, Naruto got chakra from kyuubi , no one worked hard for their powerup at that point.

Itachi never intended for sasuke to get MS. If you remember, obito told sasuke the truth about itachi, made him awaken MS and then manipulated him.
After obtaining MS, sasuke went through a lot of trouble , he used to cough blood due to use of his MS power and had the risk of dying.

he also worked hard to get stronger but it wasn't shown in the manga, like for example, he got his hawk summoning offscreen.

i agree with the EMS argument though, it was a free power up.

My bad humor aside, Sasuke didn't have it easy. He trained hard, but gained skills more quickly than others. His curse mark and sharingan give/gave him an extreme edge; however, if he makes the talent to act upon it....this is useless.


To get the MS he had to face his brother...who wasn't a pushover, and was still trying to a degree even if the kill wasn't his goal.

To get EMS he had to lose his vision storming the Kage Summit..... A dumb plan, but hey Sasuke has feelings.


Sure his eye advancement feels cheap, but it isn't like he did nothing hard before upgrading.

I agree compared to Naruto sasuke got stronger easier. But he lost his whole clan, well his brother killed them all and showed him how he killed their parents. So sasuke could awaken his sharingan. Naruto never knew his parents and even he stated sasuke had been hurt more, because Naruto never knew of that parent love. But Naruto wanted to work and get stronger because sasuke use to always be one step ahead. Naruto worked hard because he had to, unlike sasuke who was born lucky.
