This is good news for some and old news for others but I thought it was worth posting. Its short so enjoy the read, cheers.

I have been combing through some thread recently and in almost all of them there is an impression that the Naruto series is nearing its end. This was a crazy idea to me because I had distinctly remembered something that kishimoto had said that contradicted this. And after some digging around this is what I found:

Now since this was published July 2012, a year and a half from that time would be December 2013. Which gives us another 7 months of Naruto. And even then Kishimoto himself says "now appears that the manga will continue beyond that time frame."

One more thing you guys should consider is that Naruto is one of what is commonly refereed to as the "Big 3". " " and " " make up the other 2. And ofcourse the reason they are called the "Big 3" is because they are most popular, and are pretty much the only mangas to become popular overseas and thus the biggest money generators the manga industry has at the moment and the other series arent showing any signs of ending any time soon, so why would Naruto?

And with so much of the Naruto-verse's story being untold I dont see why they would suddenly chose to end the series with this arc, heck if I had to guess I would say Naruto had atleast 2 more arcs in it. Now dont get me wrong, I would rather have the series come to an abrupt end than have it drag out and become so monotonous that I no longer enjoy reading the manga anymore, but at the same time I dont want the series to abrupt end when it still has so much potential and i dont think it will. Does anyone else feel the same?

Lastly
For those who think there is nothing else left to be talked about in the Naruto Verse then think about this.

It will be around another 2 or 3 months before the juubi arc ends and after that there is going to be the rebuilding phase and the peace and a little bit of filler. But there is still going to be huge question:

How Sasuke joins the village ?
Whether or not Naruto becomes Hokage?
How long the relations between the nations are going to last, remember these guys hate each other, at the moment they have a common enemy and the enemy of my enemy is always my friend, but after that happens will people forgive the nation that killed there brother, mother, sister or father?
Will Sasuke completely join the village or will he leave?
Who will be the new Jinchuriki for the tailed beasts?
Will the Fire Lord be ok with this alliance that could possibly threaten his control over the fire nation.
What will Orochimaru do? Will he simply abandon his conquest to learn every jutsu?
Who will replace Danzo? Sasuke perhaps?

With one more arc all these loose ends can be sufficiently tied along with us seeing alot of development not only from Naruto but from the other chunin and maybe the hyuga or seeing a grown up INO-SHIKA-CHO and seeing how they resemble there fathers who all died during this war. So many questions about KKG's and the SO6P, the truth behind the SO6P sons, all of this can be explained in 1 more arc bringing this series to a proper ending.

And how badass would a 22 year old Hokage Naruto be? If anyone watched the Last Airbender think about how cool it was seeing the grown up Aang and Sora in the newer series.I just feel like if they dont add another arc they will end up ending this thing without fully bringing out its potential. We all know the DBZ genre went on too long, but what if it ended at the Freeza Saga because people felt it had already been long enough? Do you really want to live in a world without Cell and SS2/SS3?
Strap yourselves in boys, your in for a long ride!

Don't let this turn into DBZ

ROFL touche

I completely agree with you, but to me there is still some story left to be told, if it ended right now I would be left with so many questions that couldnt be answered with some flimsy OVA or sum up chapter. And I think there is too little time for them to adequatly tie up all there loose ends. I think extending the manga for 1 more year is not just a good call but is more likely than not.

But ofcourse I dont want to have this series become another DBZ... i think its safe to say that we all stopped watching after the Cell Saga. And there STILL putting out new movies for that series [ ] x__x...

There's not much things he can do except extend it (Very bad idea since after this war there will be peace, if not Kishi will lose a big portion of his fans) The only things left to do is
- Seal Madara, Juubi
- Kill/Save Obito
- See what's up with Sasuke/Taka/Oro/Hokages
- Naruto vs Sasuke
- Naruto becoming Hokage
- Naruto bringing peace throughout the 5 Great Nations.

One more time skip please

YES, this guy gets it. Thats all I want, 1 more timeskip to bring the series to a slow and reasonable conclusion, not JUUBI, SO6P, MADARA, HASHIRAMA, EDO, Good night...

I don't think anyone would disagree that the end of this story arch is assuredly coming to a close. There are of course a million different directions that the series could continue in but I think that many of the options will just seem to be filler compared to the original storyline. Bleach came to that same realization. Just because Naruto is one of the big 3 doesn't mean it will go on forever. I'm sure kishi will continue with the Naruto verse as long as he feels there is worthwhile material to be explored. if not, I'm sure he will move onto his next big production. I'm sure that even though fans like us will always wish for more content he has other ideas that he keeps on hold due to the massive scale that this series has grown to demand.
Either way I'm excited to see the next several chapters of this arch. I've been an avid fan fur the last 6 years and it feels like I've waited a lifetime for this conclusion.

It's pretty damn interesting that this manga will take longer than 1.5 years or so according to the interview.

I felt Kishi didn't really develop the other villages/places like what he do for Konoha. The side and supporting characters for me are more left behind than expected. The RS and Sons things as well as the previous events also need to be explained. And I personally want to see adult Naruto and Sasuke fight; that shit will be boss.

But as far as the overall series go, it should at least have a well written conclusion to end Naruto. The conclusion has been if not, one of the most important things in writing.

Lets not forget that the bleach Manga and Anime took 2 different directions, the Bleach Anime werent as smart as the Naruto anime and didnt pace themselves and basically were weeks behind the Manga, problem is when the manga took a break then Anime had to show something. And thus comes the infamous filler arcs, literally entire arcs filled with nothing but filler, I the most recent i believe is refereed to as the "Fillerbring arc" which is where ichigo loses his reaper powers and learns to use fullbring instead and after that the fans had enough and the anime production stopped after losing support. But thats not the same as the Naruto.

Also what I am proposing here isnt as much as Kishimoto dragging out a story that should have been ended a long time ago, but rather keeping him from ending the story halfway through the book, aofcourse i sound like some fanboy who doesnt want the series to end, but there something deeper than that, I just think the series needs a little more closure, I dont want kishi to trip on the finish line. Ty for the comment.

Another person who gets it, I completely agree with this. There is so much left to be said, so many other ideas kishi could have came up with that he never had the chance to add into the manga, and since ill never get the chance to pick his brain another arc will allow him to bring the series to a suitable conclusion giving the fans much needed closure. As of right now I feel like there is too much up for grabs for him to end the series.

I just finished delivering Senju DNA packs for uchihahahahaa's Totsuka Sword for Itachi riding.

Anyways. Yeah, I figured. It shouldn't go out too long; but the ending shouldn't be so rushed either. Ending right after the War actually doesn't make it any better. It seemingly creates more plot holes and so much areas should be improved.

It would be great to have a time skip or see more ideas..Jus cuz the war ends doesn't mean evil took a break..their could be other villains and i still think Orochimaru hasn't changed his ways...Again Kishimoto is the one that will decided when and if it ends.If it ends great if it doesn't even greater

The way, manga is going; I think still Kishi needs to explain many things in manga. I am sure it will take at-least 1 year or more than that to end Naruto Manga.

What on earth could be an even bigger challenge than Obito AND Madara AND the Juubi? Any other villain after this should be a walk in the park for naruto.

Who knows Orochimaru might taking Obito's body somehow?
