This is good news for some and old news for others but I thought it was worth posting. Its short so enjoy the read, cheers.
I have been combing through some thread recently and in almost all of them there is an impression that the Naruto series is nearing its end. This was a crazy idea to me because I had distinctly remembered something that kishimoto had said that contradicted this. And after some digging around this is what I found:
Now since this was published July 2012, a year and a half from that time would be December 2013. Which gives us another 7 months of Naruto. And even then Kishimoto himself says "now appears that the manga will continue beyond that time frame."
One more thing you guys should consider is that Naruto is one of what is commonly refereed to as the "Big 3". "
And with so much of the Naruto-verse's story being untold I dont see why they would suddenly chose to end the series with this arc, heck if I had to guess I would say Naruto had atleast 2 more arcs in it. Now dont get me wrong, I would rather have the series come to an abrupt end than have it drag out and become so monotonous that I no longer enjoy reading the manga anymore, but at the same time I dont want the series to abrupt end when it still has so much potential and i dont think it will. Does anyone else feel the same?

" make up the other 2. And ofcourse the reason they are called the "Big 3" is because they are most popular, and are pretty much the only mangas to become popular overseas and thus the biggest money generators the manga industry has at the moment and the other series arent showing any signs of ending any time soon, so why would Naruto? And with so much of the Naruto-verse's story being untold I dont see why they would suddenly chose to end the series with this arc, heck if I had to guess I would say Naruto had atleast 2 more arcs in it. For those who think there is nothing else left to be talked about in the Naruto Verse then think about this.
It will be around another 2 or 3 months before the juubi arc ends and after that there is going to be the rebuilding phase and the peace and a little bit of filler. But there is still going to be huge question:
How Sasuke joins the village ?
Whether or not Naruto becomes Hokage?
How long the relations between the nations are going to last, remember these guys hate each other, at the moment they have a common enemy and the enemy of my enemy is always my friend, but after that happens will people forgive the nation that killed there brother, mother, sister or father?
Will Sasuke completely join the village or will he leave?
Who will be the new Jinchuriki for the tailed beasts?
Will the Fire Lord be ok with this alliance that could possibly threaten his control over the fire nation.
What will Orochimaru do? Will he simply abandon his conquest to learn every jutsu?
Who will replace Danzo? Sasuke perhaps?
With one more arc all these loose ends can be sufficiently tied along with us seeing alot of development not only from Naruto but from the other chunin and maybe the hyuga or seeing a grown up INO-SHIKA-CHO and seeing how they resemble there fathers who all died during this war. So many questions about KKG's and the SO6P, the truth behind the SO6P sons, all of this can be explained in 1 more arc bringing this series to a proper ending.
And how badass would a 22 year old Hokage Naruto be? If anyone watched the Last Airbender think about how cool it was seeing the grown up Aang and Sora in the newer series.I just feel like if they dont add another arc they will end up ending this thing without fully bringing out its potential. We all know the DBZ genre went on too long, but what if it ended at the Freeza Saga because people felt it had already been long enough? Do you really want to live in a world without Cell and SS2/SS3?
