But it can't solo AIDS.

Dantee said:Rightfully meaning no matter the attack Yata will change itself so it can match the characteristics and inherent abilities of the attack.
When you cant even bother read I think you've already done that. :th:
Here's a non-biased response to this thread trying to explain Totsuka and Yata's hype. :bdpf:

Hyperbole: Exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.
I. Totsuka-no-Tsurugi.
Orochimaru claims that Tosuka Blade seals anyone and anything it pierces but even though the Katana did not only Orochimaru, Edo Tensei and his summon's it's still nothing but exaggeration and hype because the Databook clearly says this:

"It has the power to plunge those it pierces into a world of drunken dreams and seal them away for all times". Only implying that Yata's function as a sword is really only to seal away living opponents and not necessarily "anything it pierces" which would be enforcing the no limits fallacy two-fold since it must mean that the Jar at the end of the Katana has an infinite amount of space within it and Itachi could pierce the earth and seal it away. There other limit on the sword is the amount of fluid within the Jar which comprises the sword and the extent to which it can extend and these two factors would also determine what can and cannot be sealed.
This portion of the information on Yata-no-Kagami isn't hyperbole, it's a description of it's abilities as a shield so nothing to contradict here. We know it's not hyperbole because this excerpt does not state that Yata altering it's properties renders "any" attack ineffective meaning this is wrong and is not a perfect reflection of what is written here in the Databook:
"Deflect all things" - Hyperbole and No limits fallacy which says the shield can withstand and repel an infinite amount of pressure and intensity from an infinite amount of attacks with 0 proof of the claim.
Totsuka-no-Tsurugi and Yata-no-Kagami being spiritual does not mean they cannot be destroyed. The fact that they are able to become physical already contradicts the idea and them being physical places a limit on the amount of pressure they can withstand and expend against opposing forces. Its no different from Susano'o which is also spiritual and primarily composed of Inton energy which is the spiritual energy which governs Imagination and can be used to create form out of nothingness as just as Susano'o can become physical and be destroyed, it can become ethereal and more so intangible and spiritual.
So not wanting to read bias fanboy threads is cancerious? Oh so flawless logic
I guess the 64 people in my sig agree with you as well

So salty o lawd.
- no such thing as a no limits fallacy. If the manga proves and databook something works that way outside of hype then you should take that into consideration. Quit trying to impose your made up terms onto the naruto manga itself.
No, I just don't read cancer
The moment when Dantee realized he eff'ed up. Let me get my popcorn. PDG about do you like he did your boy
Get a job kid and stop worry every I said.i couldn't have said it any better then Sir derp :sdo3:The OP is most definitely naught but a percipient forum poster, making threads and purposefully posting well-crafted verses specifically designed to do naught more than share his wisdom and insight on those fortunate souls who may perchance to happen upon them. You must be registered for see images
If one were to quantify the effort and skill with which the OP has crafted the said statements, I feel one must award the maximum ranks available in a metric-based scoring system and that all future results would be awarded likewise, presuming the requisite effort and skill were presented in said hypothetical future posts as are in the current one we find ourselves discussing. You must be registered for see images
You about to side with everything he says arent you?Get a job kid and stop worry every I said.
If it's logical, yes. PDG and I have butt heads before, but unlike you he's actually intelligent
And I am at work, stop worrying about my life :Sparks:

dante is truely a special kind in between many rats here.
thank you for this thread, and itachi solo!

-I admit I missed that "those" part of the databook explanation so kudos for you.
- Being that it can change all properities and change every characteristc allows it to manifest in a way that repel/deflect any attack. I like you favor one portion of whats written but can casually ignore and deny anything else that is written.
Erm...I favor what makes sense. Yata being able to defend against any attack just because it is a spiritual shield and was "said" to defend against all things via Legend isn't proof that it has infinite defense. First off all the legend is nothing more than an assumption and exaggeration because for the shield to be claimed to defend against any attack would mean that the shield has already defended against any and all attacks as well as infinite pressure. Where's the proof of that? Tbh, the burden of proof is on you to certify the legend that Yata-no-Kagami can deflect any attack to be true as this is the bases of the information int he Databook.
The Databook's claim's are irrelevant because it is flooded with exaggerated claims not meant to be taken seriously where where abilities are concerned. For example it says Kabutowari can break any defense, but guess what? besides no proof of that it can expend infinite pressure, It's made from wood and metal; two elements that already have limits on the amount of pressure they can withstand, expend and speaking of which the force behind swords attack depends on the force applied to it's handle by the user.
Yata altering it's attributes has nothing to do with it defending any and all attacks. Again the Databook segment does not say this ability allows it to render "any" attack useless.

I honestly dont care how you and waltz spend your time together. :th:
I already admitted to bits of the databook being pure hyperboles and thats why I highlighted things on my thread that weren't hyperboles. I admit to making a mistake/ slight contradiction to this statement in posting that 1st scan because I found it on the internet and couldn't change it. A long time ago I had a discussion with a user on here I cant remember his name for the life of me about hyperboles and explanations of different techniques. A good amount of hype can justify said techniques especially when coming from knowledgable persons in the manga. However mechanics of said techniques shouldn't be overlooked especially when its elaborated in the databook and outside the manga.
You cant say the Databooks claims are irrelevant in this particular case because the only knowledge we have outside of manga hype is inside the databook. Furthermore theres a clear difference between those two weapons inside/outside the manga/databook hype. Kabutowaris power is not explained (for all I know). There is no clear cut reason as to why the weapon is so powerful that can we can actually correlate with it being able to destroy all defenses. Being that yata can alter its attributes and properties does in fact mean it can adept itself to many offensive attack. The hype is clearly justified in this case.
Are you that unintelligent that you cannot think of anything witty instead of resorting to homosexuality? It seems you have the intelligence of our first ancestors
That moment when you realized that Dantee has surpassed retardation
That moment when CC has to troll in order to stay relevant inside a debate. Oh waits thats every thread.
Who's debating with you? I'd prefer to be cancer free thank you very much :bdpf:
