No, it was before Sasuke was critically injured, but not killed. Get your f*cking terminology right.

Madara can absorb chakra even without the Rinnegan. He absorbed Hashirama's Senjutsu, and he absorbed some of the Kyuubi cloaks from fodder shinobi that he defeated, all prior to receiving his Rinnegan from White Zetsu.

We know that some powers related to eye techniques are simply "unlocked" and can be used even if the Shinobi is blind; Susano'o is one example.

Madara also possesses the Mokuton, which can absorb chakra, so it's possible that he did so that way.

In the end, we know Madara wasn't using Preta Path (there was no chakra-absorbing barrier around him). Madara simply has the ability to absorb chakra.

He also used Susanno.

Actually this makes even less sense than the Amaterasu. How did he manage to escape sasuke by obscuring his vision, when Sasuke had a sword stuck in Madara's arm? How did he avoid Naruto who had Sage Mode?

i was talking about how he was able to escape sasuke and avoid naruto was because of sage mode.he is able to absorb chakra because he is both hashi and madara-indra and ashura=hagoromo's chakra
just because he doesn't have his rinnegan doesnt mean he doesnt have that chakra anymore

When Maddy got that DNA, he became able to awaken the rinnegan AND its related powers.
He doesn't need his eyes, like for Susano'o, his body has far enough power to cast this absorbing six paths jutsu.

This seems to be true as Madara was using all his moves without his eyes.
