can you prove it's wrong to say that God exists? if you can't prove it's wrong, they can say it exists and the same goes for those who state God doesn't exist. It comes down to the need people have to believe in something regarding their origins and their lives.

You have no way of proving that you are real. You are real to yourself. You might be real to some other people. God is real to a lot more people than you are real to. I'm sure that, if God exists, he is real to himself as well. So why would you make this thread? What he said makes absolute sense. You perceive the world through your 5 senses. Your ability to sense things is a result of your brain interpreting electric stimuli. If someone can mimic these electric impulses, they can affect your senses, in theory, one could make you eat dog shit while you are thinking you're having fried chicken. To you, you are having fried chicken, but not to everyone else.

They have no way of proving to you that what you're eating is dog shit because all you perceive is fried chicken. If the world is made of perceptions , how can we be sure that an external world exists? You can't prove you exist.

What you perceive might not be reality, in fact you might not even exist at all.
