first of all i never said that i am knowledgeable in the Quran because i am learning and from what i am learning i am trying to let people who don't know or who are in the wrong path know about Islam, and i brought Jesus peace be upon him because Christians made his as the son of God and pray threw him, so how can you say that a religion that say workship one one god and believe in all the prophets and treat them equally be similar to the other religion which teaches to believe in a prophet as god?
well whatever you want, it's your choice at the end, whether you want or not it's your decision, and for other religions Hinduism or Shintoism, Celtic, Norse and Greek/Roman mythology , they are not part of the books which were reveled to us by prophets of God, i am not insulting them or anything but they are human made, i wouldn't bother looking at them, as for you Peace be upon you and may god guide you and guide us all to the right path.
Well as for me I'm christian and I don't what others believe or do not. Indeed, one cannot prove that god does exist. However, during our history there were certain events called as "miracles", at least in christianity. No, you'll say that this is just people saying these things to spread their religions. I respectfully disagree. I know that there are people who will try to take advantage of religious. In any case, in my family there were certain "events" that made me believe in the existence of a god. You might say that god's existence cannot be proven but what I'm trying to say is that these so called "miracles" I'm talking about, cannot be explained by any means via science. Thus, I believe that the one that causes them is a superior being.
However, there is one desicive factor in your beliefs and that is your willingness to accept all these things as phenomenons caused by a superior being. Point is, if you don't want to believe something you won't believe it no matter what, you will always find some kind of explanation. I don't say that you must be gullible though. From an atheist point of view this might sound like a stupid contradiction but this is how I feel.
Thank you, some one finally admits it, I respect you.

You cannot explain something, then believe in something 10 times as hard to explain, because it explains the easier one.LolIn any case, in my family there were certain "events" that made me believe in the existence of a god. Hebrews 11:1
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Having faith in God is believing in his existence, even if we can't see him with our own eyes. Doubt and fear cannot exist where their is faith, because faith gives you the strength to trust in something that may seem impossible. But what we see as impossible is not impossible for God.
2 Corinthians 5:7
"We live by faith, not by sight"
Just because you can't see something it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Obviously, we can't see oxygen in the air, but of course we know it exist because we can breath. Yes, science has discovered many amazing things such as oxygen, the stars, and much more. However, all those things couldn't have just appeared out of nowhere like some big bang theory nonsense, except by the involvement of some higher power which we can justify as God.
People believe to much what they can only see with the eyes, rather than having faith in something that cannot be seen. I remember when I was little, my friends would play a game where u close your eyes and fall backwards while the other person catches you. However, u mustn't stumble or doubt that person behind and must willingly put your trust in that person, whether u bust your head or not lol. That game taught me a lesson about faith and how even though I couldn't see the person or where I was falling I was able to have trust in that person that they would catch me. Some people would start to fall back and catch themselves before the other person could even get the chance to catch them, thus showing their lack of trust and faith in that person.
To me that is what faith really is. Its having a genuine trust in someone or something, and knowing that they exist and will be there for you. However, if u doubt or lack trust then you have very little faith.
Everyone however has a choice to believe what they want too and no one can make anyone do anything. I just wanted to let you know why people believe in a God whether there is proof or not. Its called faith my friend.![]()
Not really.
Except this part.
You cannot explain something, then believe in something 10 times as hard to explain, because it explains the easier one.Lol
that is why they call us believers and also lets take back time to like couple of centuries ago.. if religion and God had not come to men... men will have torn each other up by now... (GOD) brought sanity to us
Well while I agree to some extent, many countries tend to advantage of their religion to legalized their war choices so no, this is a matter of controversy and back in the Middle Ages countless were killed to protect "one's religion". Humans by nature are greedy, they will try to take advantage of everything, even their religions.
nope you got me wrong and also about what you said religion hardly preaches war. but way back then when we hard bigger civilization and smaller civilizations where bigger ones maltreat and oppress smaller ones religion stopped a lot of savage habits amongst civilizations and its true a lot of wars had been fought in the name of religion. and its wrong but the holy book preaches against war. truth religion can either be a blessing, a curse, or weapon so if someone fights today in the name of religion then he kind of misunderstood except for the holy wars of cause
Mother of God you need help.
I only said the two were similar in the aspect you had wrote.
ADAM.
No where did I say they were carbon copies.
And yes, I feel that the Bible, Quran, and Torah are far too similar.
Now I'm saying it, because you apparently seem to be reading the wrong way.
It depends on the religion you're talking about. Jihab exists and will continue to do so. It basically tells you to kill the unbelievers or those who believe in different religions and that you will be awarded in the afterlife.
From wikipedia:
Muslims and scholars do not all agree on its definition. Within the context of the classical Islamic law, it refers to struggle against those who do not believe in the Islamic God (Allah) and do not acknowledge the submission to Muslims,[13] and so is often translated as "Holy War",[14][15][16] although this term is controversial.[17] According to the Dictionary of Islam[3] and Islamic historian Bernard Lewis, in the large majority of cases jihad has a military meaning.[18] Javed Ghamidi states that there is consensus amongst Islamic scholars that the concept of jihad will always include armed struggle against wrong doers.[19] It was generally supposed that the order for a general war could only be given by the Caliph (an office that was claimed by the Ottoman sultans), but Muslims who did not acknowledge the spiritual authority of the Caliphate (which has been vacant since 1923)—such as non-Sunnis and non-Ottoman Muslim states—always looked to their own rulers for the proclamation of a jihad. There has been in fact no universal warfare by Muslims on non-believers since the early caliphate. Some proclaimed Jihad by claiming themselves as mahdi, e.g. the Sudanese Mahommed Ahmad in 1882.[20]
I see what it says about being no univesal warfare since 1882 but at least this is how Jihad is widely known.
