Scientists don't classify animals as evil so why would they for humans?

In my opinion, it's in our nature to have some code of right and wrong but it varies. Because we have empathy as well.

One could argue that us as humans being smart enough to create the idea of morality makes us responsible for our own actions.

As James Madison aptly put it, that, "if humans were angels, no government would be necessary." Humans are, by condition what they are, they are instinctual, opportunistic and vile under the garb of morality that is fabricated and manufactured to begin with. In every era, you get these factory-made morals to regulate the groups.

But, alas, it's human nature to always cling to the laughable idea of "human exceptionalism," which itself is just as "artificially constructed" as laws and morals are. Cultural conditioning, heck any kind of social conditioning, deictates how the psyche is molded. When societal collapse occurs in wars, you see the actual Man without the garb of necessities. And it's an ugly sight.
