Of course-

Ao detected it.
It takes ten years for the Mangekyo to regenerate after it has been used.
If Kabuto placed another tag in Itachi's head, it would have been broken.

An Uchiha with three Tomoe can potentially break even Tsukuyomi - so Sasuke did.
Sasuke naturally had stronger sharingan due to stronger chakra. He was able to brake tsukuyomi with curse mark, that act like sage mode and empowers every aspect of user.
Itachi stated, that visual Genjutsu don't work against some one with the same eyes, because they have the same level.
This is true for fodders. An exceptional uchiha wouldnt have such problem. Genjutsu battle between uchihas is long and unreliable. But they work
Yet Itachi, an Uchiha with the Mangekyo Sharingan was controlled by Kotoamatsukami and freed from Edo Tensei.
The EMS is the highest form of Sharingan, yet Itachi intended to control Sasuke in the long run with it.
Koto is whole other lvl. U pay huge price for wasting it. Its in between izanagi/izanami and tsukuyomi in power.
Can you explain me this, based on facts and statements from the Manga? Why a user of the Mangekyo with awarenesss of Kotoamatsukami and even an Eternal Mangekyo user can fall for this illusion, others however shouldn't, if this illusion is cast right at them? I would be interested in hearing this. mhm
EMS will fall for 3-tomoe izanagi/izanami for sole reason of sacrifice, cuz it uses one's eye to the fullest. Koto makes smaller sacrifice, where u loses the MS power for much powerful genjutsu then tsukuyomi

Not backed up by much facts but hope u like it

He does have a mind. I don't know where your idea come from. Mifune had the mind. Itachi had his mind. It's only that KA forces him to follow the order given by the genjutsu, but your mind is still intact to do everything else that doesn't contradict the order given by the genjutsu, that's all. Concerning the bolded part, it's irrelevant since the point of the thread is not to know if the opponent can notice in time or not, but to show that KA itself(the genjutsu) can be countered
Thanks bro ^_^ I think KA gives your a order to follow. It doesn't mean that you can't still think of something on your own
When I say mind of ur own, I mean being in total control of ur actions. A person under the kA influence isn't making decisions of his/her own Accord

You talk as is if Itachi even intended to counter KA. No he was caught by his own jutsu intentionally. He himself knew he was under the genjutsu(KA), didn't he? Sasuke on the other hand doesn't even know the jutsu, so how could he prepare himself to counter a genjutsu he doesn't know and couldn't even be aware of if it ever happened?

Now answer me this:

- There is a disturbance in the chakra flow when KA is used, isn't it?
- Ao noticed the disturbance in Mifune's chakra flow when KA was used on him, didn't he?
- A skilled sensor can notice the disturbance in his chakra flow, can't he?

So what stops him from noticing if he is even caught by KA when he has already shown the capacity and even told he can't be fooled by the technique?

How will he notice when he's already under control and when the orders of the KA doesn't involve checking chakra flow. There's no way he can notice. Ao could talk cos hw was observing from 3rd person angle

Itachi said that Genjutsu don't work against someone who has the same eyes, yet Itachi was controlled in the long run. Kotoamatsukami is not just a Genjutsu, it rewrites your mind. Therefore Kabuto was forced to lay a new mark at Itachi, in order to take control over him again. Danzo didn't want to give a command to Mifune, he just wanted to control him for the period of the Kage meeting, and Ao, an outsider noticed the disturbance of the ones chakra, who was controlled. Ao himself said, that Shisui controls his victims without them noticing it, he would contradict himself if a sensor could indeed notice it. It means, even if you know your opponent uses Kotoamatsukami, you cannot tell whether and when he uses it on you, you simply can't recognize it by yourself as you believe the control being your own mind. And if Kotoamatsukami gives you a command, it rewrites your mind to the extent to make this idea being your own. Again, he wanted to control a user of the EMS, though Itachi stated, that Genjutsu against someone with the same eyes is not working. Further he wanted to do it for the long run, forever, making Sasuke an ally of Konoha. This would be a bit erroneously, if this would be an illusion that constantly holds you in an illusion, where you can be freed if someone disturbs your chakra flow, isn't it? Even when Itachi was caught by Tayuyas Genjutsu, Sasuke freed him from it but the control of Kotoamatsukami was still holding. Again, it isn't just an illusion, it rewrites your mind and makes this command being your idea.

The facts are against you, clearly against you.

I agree with KA has a weakness.
I also know this KA can manipulate memory..it's the one and only genjutsu that have power to do that..

but what I don't understand, is how can this genjutsu be effective as tsukuyomi in a fight??
IF (I said just IF) this KA all he do is only manipulate memory in a fight to death, this genjutsu won't be a big help

In other words: in a fight to death they don't really need somthing to counter or find the weakness of this jutsu.
Besides after the user used KA, they have to recharge it for 10 years.
