Events if Tsunade and Jiraiya had fought Pein?

What would have happened if Tsunade and Joraiya had ventured out to fight Pein instead of just jiraiya would the tide of the battle have changed or would their be two less Sannin's?

They would've absolutely cleaned up. Especially as Kishi had plans to have Tsunade defeat Pain(s). Unless Konan is involved because she'd end up splitting them up from one another and beating Tsunade via poor match-up.

The true Nagato would've squashed them with chakra though.

That's just to show a few of her intelligence feats. Intelligence was honestly more than half the battle agaisnt Nagato. It was figuring out who he was, where he was and how he functioned. Jiraiya did this too late.

Based on that scan of Tsunade, it seems possible that she could have identified each Pain as a corpse, which might have been enough of a clue for Jiraiya to realize that the real Nagato was the one controlling them, which would have prompted them to search him out and kill him, leading to the defeat Nagato knew was possible if his secret was discovered.

Because if Jiraiya knew the secret, he wouldn't have fought at all, he would have found Nagato and killed him individually. The path abilities aren't the secret, Nagato being the "puppet master" is the secret.

Besides, Nagato isn't using large-scale Shinra Tensei or Chibaku Tensei in his own village. He cares about his people.

And it wasn't illustrated because then Kishimoto realized what a goofy ass idea it would've been, and she would've gotten the Jiraiya treatment, or worse.

Had Tsunade fought Pain in such a major battle, I'm sure Kishimoto would have developed her + including new abilities and skills like he always does.

Pain cares about his people sure, no doubt. But he wouldn't put them above his goal, never in a million years. Thing is though bro, you're presuming with Tsunade's help or whatever that Jiraiya would break from ignorance, and realize the truth. Of course this is simply an assumption, and not a fact, so I'm not arguing hypothetical, merely canon.
