It wouldnt kill him, Sasuke could easily dodge. Naruto needed to match him in Taijutsu which he could have done easily in base RSM with frog kumite. Its not his fault tho its Studio Perriots doing for putting emphasis on Sasukes bloodlust. However, Naruto's endurance/durability was legendary in this fight.

Naruto only got a serious when sasuke used the bijuus chakra but countered it by gathering more nature energy but after that when they were fighting sasuke lost his shit because naruto wouldn't just give up
