I just though I'd address this. You've undoubtedly heard the argument that Naruto haters use the argument that "Kurama is powered power and Naruto can't do anything without him." Just for kicks, I thought I'd show how wrong that it.
First of all, having Kurama inside of him means that his chakra control was ruined and Naruto has trained to have him. So the only fair way to judge Naruto's skill as a ninja is to hypothesize a situation where Obito never ripped Kurama out of Kushina. Let's analyze what abilities he could have had then.
1. Shadow clones:
Minato knows how to use shadow clones, so Naruto would have likely taught Naruto them anyway, so this aspect is not lost.
2. Ransengan and Ransenshuriken:
Naruto would obviously still learn ransengan and would want to surpass his father. In fact, if Kurama were never removed from Kushina, Minato would have learned how to mix ransengan with an element most likely.
3. Senjutsu:
He could still learn it as his abilities with it came from his Uzamaki heritage and not Kurama. Kurama does not give him larger reserves. Naruto just takes Kurama's chakra and converts it into his own when he uses up chakra. This does not effect reserves and you'd have to have powerful chakra to become a jinchuriki in the first place. (backed up by Yamato's talk with Naruto)
4. FTG:
Naruto has latent FTG potential made obvious by the fact that the inventor, Tobirama, remarked that he adjusted to its use. He also demonstrated creativity with it when he used it alongside Minato.
So if Kurama never got out of Kushina, Naruto would be a very proficient FTG user.
5. Chakra chains. Kushina, had access to these. Heck, even someone as weak as Karin can use them. Naruto could almost certainly use them if taught. The fact that it can restrain full Kurama and a miniature buddah statue makes this ability OP.
With these 5 abilities, Naruto would be a beast and easily top 10 material. This is what Naruto would be if Naruto never got Kurama and not a fodder like some Sasuke fans would like to suggest.(I'm not generalizing, but there are some that say this.) Naruto always had boss potentially, whether with or without Kurama.
