america isnt better than europe in lots of ways. the one thing that most americans have in common is that they quickly think they are superiour to other people.
america still is way behind on infrastructure (america doesnt even have a good covering cellular network, roads are often crappy, public transport is no priority so its only usable in certain areas), socially(they might have the super rich, but they also have the super poor people in the country), education(the average american is still very low educated), politics(the country is split up in 2 major political partys, its like right-or-wrong without having a way in the middle or other ideals) and a lot more. Technology might be better, but apart from that the usa is still in the 1910's of european countries. I don't mean america is bad, but they aren't the best.
back on topic, in my opinion europe has a very long way to go to become one country if thats ever going to happen. europe has a long history unlike countries like america, due to which people have grown to become used to their own ways and nationality. They all have their own country which they are proud at, they all have their own ways of living and they all have their common national ideals. The british will never be with the french, they greek way of living will never match the dutch way of hard working, the italian catholics will never coexist with the moslim turks. scotland and countries in the balkan want to become independent again, the financial problems in greece, some insulting right-wing politicians in the netherlands and belgium, the drug problems in ireland, the dictators in eastern europe, those are all problems that will prevent europe from becoming a real unity thats able to maintain itself as a country.
Each country in the european union is unique. Keep it that way.
