Deve manhandled sm naruto with knowledge+summons while being weakened,animal path has dozens of summons. Pain low diff with intel,mid without

Yes mate, knowledge would make a huge difference. Battling Pain without knowledge will very, very difficult. So the Eternal rivals are restricted to pre-war arc feats, correct? I'd like to clear up a misconception though

The thing is, that while Nagato is a bastard of an opponent to face without intel, Kakashi analyzes most techniques with the bare minimum of the stuff. HE was the one to analyse Shinra Tensei, finding out how it worked through seeing it in action TWICE, and formulating an effective counter.

The lack of intel won't be as problematic as it'd be for, say, Naruto (as he's a bit of an idiot and managed ignore Pein's abilities even with FULL intel, in the war).

people are looking at this in a very simplistic fashion

kakashi was battling the two most powerful pain bodies deva and asura

deva is by far the strongest body and even gave sage mode naruto problems. we see here that kakashis lightning clone paralyzes asura path and deva is also distracted

both bodies had their back turned meaning their shared vision was useless and kakashi had a raikiri ready seeing as how is a master at sneaking up on people and is very fast, deva path was about to eat a raikiri before backup arrived lol

This is true. If you include Gai on his team it's possible, even likely, that they'd win. At least that's my opinion.

pain considered kakashi such a threat he even stated that he could cause problems for akatasuki in the future if he was kept alive. and this was before he even was aware of kamui.

And Kakashi, working together with Gai, is a FEARSOME opponent.
