Lol at Tech N9ne being on that list. Have you even listened to his albums? I would put Busta above him too. Luda has been putting out alot of garbage lately so I'm not sure about him.

Of course Tupac>Wayne.

Agree with Ofwgkta > ymcm

Kanye has put out some classics. I don't understand the Yeezy hate.

Anyone listen to the BET cyphers? The Shady 2.0 one was nice. Eminem and Budden killed it. I think Em is trying to bring back Shady.
Yeh the BET Cyphers, Em def. killed it.

I dont get why no one like tech? Hes one of the realest rappers out there, his lyrics actually makes sense compared to some other rappers. For me, his easily makes the top 5 list. ;)

Some of the other Cyphers were good too but 2.0 was great....except for Yelawolf.

Tech is very underrated. He is finally getting noticed though. He had the best verse on Tha Carter IV. His All 6's and 7's album he put out this year was amazing. He's having a good year lol. Also, his use of multi's are nice. I'm not sure about top 5 for me but he's def top 10.

Alright...

So many people claim to be "hip-hop" fans when they diss on rappers and ALWAYS give a Tupac comparison.

You guys forget, for people like Wiz, Drake, Kanye, Ludacris, or Wayne, there is a TIME and PLACE for their type of music that makes it BETTER than Tupac.

If you are at a party, do you really want to listen to "Brenda's Got a Baby", "Keep Ya Head Up", or "Krazy"?

Hell no. I love that shit, but NOT during a party setting, or when I'm going downtown to find some cute girls. Shit isn't the right type of mood for me.

Now when we are just chillin by ourselves, I love to listen to Saigon, Chino XL, Lost Boyz, Beanie Sigel, Pac, Big, Eminem (he's got a few party songs too but you know what I mean), or Nas. There is a time and place for certain types of music. It is true that most of the rappers I listed DO have party hits like "Big Poppa", or "California Love" or "Oochie Wally", but the point is that they are more for lyrical content.

Rap isn't better or worse. It's just different. If you want lyrical content, listen to Lupe Fiasco (who I am a huge fan of. I met him, had a talk about Islam with him, even freestyled for him in my city and have a signed poster of him hanging in my room). Go for Talib Kweli, Common, or Blue Scholars.

It's just different guys. If you guys are around the age of nineteen, consider the fact that we might just be taking our parent's view that "we grew up with the best shit".

Well said bro. I agree with this completely. Even though I think Wendy is stupid, I have Wendy songs on my I-pod anyway. Which means I'm being biased, but like he said, depends on the mood. Big respect for this dude, especially the Lupe part, hes the current rapper I would like to meet the most.
I'd also like to meet Snoop Dogg and Wiz just for bragging rights

Thank you sir.

I also met Eminem and Talib Kweli too since my uncle used to bodyguard for Eminem and Talib did a concert in my city to sign T-shirts :-D.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still down to say "**** the FREE WORLD!"

The cool thing about Lupe Fiasco is that when he did his speech and called me up to the steps he was on to do a freestyle, he told me that I was a good freestyler.

I swear I was sitting in a beam of light afterwards... Went up to groups of random people that were freestylin' in circles just because my confidence was all up haha.
