He's alive and well. His arc was destroyed though by someone when he landed on the moon. Apparently there's no logic for oxygen and the gravity issue as well as the cold. Oda, is a funny one. He found some robots and crap like that on the moon. Unfortunately I haven't read any of it, just some wiki.

People are dumb Enel even if he came back stronger would lose to a stronger Luffy with Haki. So unless hes an ally or dies and someone more deserving get the fruit not happening IMO.
