Nah. He only uses Kagutsuchi, then the flame spawns. Amaterasu only ignites the flame where the user is looking. Kagutsuchi ignites it on Sasuke's Susanoo or his body.

Besides the OP says clearly he can use it as a shield so he only restricted normal amaterasu. Which is useless anyways against Ay
