It's a weird PPV to say the least. Swagger's win was obviously a complete shocker. The Chamber match & The Shield delivered.
However, Punk v/s Rock didn't have the feeling as last time. The match was okay at best; with too much predictability settling in as we all knew Rock was gonna win.
Well, the true issue of Wrestlemania would be where to place many past WM main-eventers on the card, for a solid showdown. We've got CM Punk, Orton, Lesnar, Sheamus, Undertaker, Big Show, Chris Jericho, Ziggler, Mark Henry, Christian & even The Miz to some extent. There's also The Shield & Ryback - who are the 2012 splash won't really be fillers on Wrestlemania stage.
Well, Lesnar/Ryback/Show/Henry ect... doesn't really makes me remember of my dream ladder match prospect, so we can cut the MITB option.
The Miz seems to be on US Championship road and it's surely gonna remain like that. Perhaps Christian could get on Barett's IC then.
Where does that leave Ziggler then? Another match with Jericho? I don't want to rant but I wanted Jericho to win. If Ziggler cashed in, if Y2J did win the EC & had Del Rio invoked a rematch clause - then we could have get a really solid Triple Threat for WHC. Okay, Swagger is gonna grab a chance (I don't like him but he deserve better than being buried) but tbh, as a 'most likely' opening bout, Del Rio v/s Swagger isn't going to go down as a Wrestlemania Classic.
Then we've got the two who's likely going to provide 2 main-event matches - Undertaker & Brock Lesnar - depending on who they fight.
In the case of Lesnar, it's perhaps sounds a bit simpler. Most likely going to be Triple H; with Undertaker being a second-fav. Punk v/s Lesnar would be on someday but I don't see it happening at WM29.
So, Undertaker, what would be it? CM Punk, who tries to gain the ultimate respect? Jericho whom Undertaker never fought on and who should be considered as a deserving veteran to grab a shot at the streak? As I said, Lesnar? Ryback & Sheamus also stand a minuscule hope but I won't bet on that at all...
Plus, The Shield - no matter how awesome - doesn't have much of a role. Ryback & Sheamus will most likely get their revenge on the Grandest Stage with possibly Orton replacing Cena in the All-Babyface team.
Who's left? Big Show & Mark Henry? Oh well, they could have put a great match but both are dominant monster heels, so I wonder how WWE is gonna pull something like that; except if they tag-team together... Ryback may fight 1 of these two or both in a triple-threat but there isn't much story on paper...
Is there another route for CM Punk besides facing the legendary Deadman? Well, I don't know... He is way above Ryback, Sheamus, Orton & his last year's WM opponent, Jericho in pecking order. Perhaps, he could join The Shield as their leader and face those 4 babyfaces as the other option. But does The Shield really needs a leader?
Well, WM29 is on but besides Twice in a Lifetime and a pretty tame WHC opener, the card is not easy to determine...
