Which elements do you think is hardest and easiest to learn?
If I will rank them from hardest to easiest this will be the order
Wind= According to Kakashi it is rarest element in the manga, there are very few wind users and even fewer those who specialize on them. Even Temari had to use a medium just to perform his wind jutsus. Because of it's intangible nature, getting a grasp of it's shape is a hell. Naruto had to multiply his training time through shadow clones just to learn how to mold wind chakra.
Lightning= most elemental jutsus can be performed by using the environment instead of molding one's own chakra to artificially create the element, but lightning is not something you cannot tap to anytime you want unlike earth, wind, and water. Sasuke had to make it rain just to harness the power of true lightning. This is why most lightning users molds lightning on their own, making Raiton probably the most taxing element in chakra reserves. Kakashi and Sasuke on part 1 was very limited on their use of Chidori, the Raikage's relied on their Bijuu level chkra pool to keep their Raiton armor on.
Fire= not as hard as wind and lightning to learn, but it's accessibility means that the user must mold his chakra to create fire which is more taxing than using the environment as medium to perform jutsus. Fire is probably the hardest element to shape though. Unlike other elements that have been used for different purposes, fire was always just been used up for attack and to straight up burn the enemy. The most complicated shape we've seen with fire are Madara's and Sasuke's fire dragons.
Water=One of the most abundant element in the series. Many characters have water as their secondary element. It is easy to shape and accessible in many places and even without water source, water has been shown to be easy to mold. Probably because our bodies are 70% water? Maybe.
Earth=everywhere you go, there is earth. Earth is the most tangible element because of it's solid properties, it's just like chakra flow extending to an object. Almost all named character has earth as their 2nd element. Actually most of the Shinobi Alliance probably knows atleast 1 doton jutsu now, after Kitsuchi taught them earth wall to try and stop Juubi's bijuudama. The army didn't need to practice or train to perform the jutsu, they just learned the hand signs and they have successfully pulled off the jutsu.
