Edo nagato is stronger by a tier, edo nagato make my top 5 itachi didn't. A portion of nagato's power destroy konoha itachi can't do that. Edo nagato face 3 high level ninja at a time and give them a hard time forcin them to go all out includin itachi, itachi can't handle that.

Top anything is pointless.
