Bold is just an assumption though, characters like Kiba have been known to smell chakra so it's likely Hiruzen locates his opponents by smelling their chakra as well. Muu, who extinguishes his chakra, won't be detected.

If Muu weighs down a clone then the clone will be immobile. Hiruzen doesnt know the clone is weighted. So Muu just rinses and repeats until he eventually hits the real one.

So is what you're saying in your first paragraph. But the thing is that there was no remarks regarding Hiruzen having the ability to smell chakra, like Kiba does. As much as we know it's the normal smell rather than chakra.

That would be true if Hiruzen can't locate Muu. I have hard time seeing someone more adapt in sensory abilities that Ohnoki will have a hard time finding Muu.

Hiruzen wins med difficulty. Once the clones spread out and use Shuriken shadow clone jutsu it's pretty much over with for Muu.

More than likely it's a combination of smelling both the physical person as well as chakra. If Muu can suppress his smell the same way Taiseki does, AND ON TOP OF THAT suppress his chakra and therefore the smell of his chakra (something Taiseki can't do) then the chances of Hiruzen sniffing out his location is pretty low.

Onoki was unable to detect muu right behind him, so Hiruzen having better senses than Onoki doesn't help your case

But there's still no proof that Hiruzen is more adept than Kakashi with his sense of smell, so still no proof that he can locate Muu.

He preps it from a distance where Hiruzens elemental blasts cant reach him (Jinton has a longer range) so the only way Hiruzen would be able to interrupt jinton is with his enma pole extension. Hiruzen cancels his jinton and easily evades, then grabs the pole and weighs it down so it's too heavy to move or for Hiruzen to handle. Then he preps Jinton again and Hiruzen has no way of interrupting it.

Because Enma can't grow fists in its pole form and punch or rip Muu in half. Clones are key here if Enma is ever caught. When clones are out Muu would have no idea which one is the real one. And with Hirizen's range he can attack muu from multiple directions and continuously interrupt his jinton attempt. Muu would eventually fall
