Due to Hiruzen being an Edo he will not tire and can overpower Kakuzu in a fire fight. If it comes down to it, Hiruzen just keeps spamming Jutsu until Kakuzu is dead or runs out of chakra.
Of course that's out of character but VS threads usually have CIS/PIS off.
