I usually don't pick one or the other when two shinobis of considerable power are put against each other with one or more having unknown abilities(Minato), but this isn't a serious discussion.If you seriously think Deidara can win in a fight against Minato than you are either high off drugs are so stupid your brain should be study by doctor to determine the origin of stupidity which your brain holds the key.After watching Deidara lose to sasuke and Edo Deidara getting trap by Kankuro, I just don't see how he could ever win in a battle with Minato.
As for the person who said Minato couldn't deflect an explosion.I think you don't know what an Explosion is.An explosion is rapid increase in volume and release of energy.The key word being energy.Minato sent a tail beast bomb, which is just massive energy, away from Konoha with his space time barrier.So why couldn't he do the same with deidara's C4? Also, someone said the only seal minato could use on humans was the death reaper seal.If that was the case, what was that minato use on Tobi to end Tobi's control of the nine kurama?
It seem the people who think Deidara would win against Minato don't have any facts or are misinformed.The facts are Minato most likely could deflect or divert Diedara most power attack, C0.The fact is Deidara has lost to opponents who weren't as smart or skilled as Minato.The fact is we have seen pretty much all of Deidara's abilities and not nearly enough of Minato's abilities.

And so are you. He formed a barrier which teleports anything which contacts it. It doesnt matter whether its energy, matter, spirit, ghost, dark matter it will get teleported.

Well up until before the reaper seal he had only used one rasengan a contract seal 2 st barriers and ftg then before he used the reaper he said he'd use what little chakra he had left he uses the ftg all the time and it's just seals so I don't think that takes a lot of chakra and one rasengan isn't going to take a bunch either and that only leaves the seal and the barrier

And ofc teleporting the entire kyubi out of Konoha. Thats what took a lot of chakra cos he asked Bunta to hold kyubi down for a while cos he needed enough chakra to teleport the nine tails.
And lets not forget before the fight he was surpressing the nine tails inside Kushina. That could have used a ton of chakra as well.

i dont like minato well i do but he is veery very overrated but minato vs any edo imo is over very quick he could simplely seal him minato for the min and as for not flying no but he could throw a kunia telport to it throw another and so on and as for falling he could easily telport somewhere on the ground
Minato would "kill" Deidara during one of his "art" monologues.
And he surely has the sealing skills to seal him. He is the best at sealings from what i have seen so far.
Btw it is quite laughable to think that Minato couldn't perform a standard sealing and would rely on DDCSeal.

Those were the seals shown so far but it doesn't mean that he is limited to those. Minato was created OP by Kishi..hate him or love him, he's Kishi's masterpiece. There's no way deidara can defeat Minato. If we go by your logic, then Hiruzen have only less than 10 jutsus because we only saw him using those jutsu's. He was called a professor or god of the shinobi because he mastered existing techs at that time. Have we seen him using so many techs? How about Kakashi? It was said that Kakashi was able to a copy a thousand jutsu. How many jutsu's kakashi displayed so far? Use common sense pls.
i say deidara. i know minato can mark him & use ftg, reaper death seal or whatever. he might not be able to mark him since deidara is a long range fighter and since everyone knows about the yellow flash he most likely has intel. remember deidara his edo. he can use c4, various other bombs and that microscopic explosion that destroys from the inside out that he used agains t sasuke. as long as he stays on the offense he can keep minato at bay until he drains his chakra from defending himself. or just spam with c4 until minato dead. i happen to like minato over deidara but if deidara plays it smart minato will lose.
diedara as an edo? people minato is not winning this unless he has a kania far far away from the battle field.
Diedara is almost invincible as an edo..if he isnt sealed right away. he can blow up and come back several times to make sure his opponent dies.
