Now think about what you just said. How would someone know they are using a genjutsu on themselves... Someone like that wouldn't be visual to him. Also Itachi obviously knew that Sasuke had the curse mark and Oro powers to strengthen his sharigan. This is what Itachi planned for in that fight. He had to make the fight seem real so he stalled the battle out.

well u have me there, but its more to fight the post of uchiha's with big guns he can see chakra, because if he could he could sense the chakra disturbance and drop.+1 to zato. ANd i guess my only defense would be when sasuke went to the uchiha hideout and found out more about visual prowsess, he knew danzo had shishui's eye and other sharingan's but couldnt figure out what he was doing with glaring hints.

Sasuke breaking genjutsu?. Not only did he match itachi in a genjutsu duel he broke free from tsukuyomi. Anyway im done here. Any 3 tomoe sharigan user will bypass the clam genjutsu and it will be a straight out fight. Ems sasuke >> 2nd mizukage with mid diff

actually thinking of the fight the genjutsu one.

itachi one 3>4 if u count sasuke breaking tsyoukimi i dont count it i see it as tsukoyimi not having as much as a affect because hes a sharingan user because he was holding his eye and feeling the affect of the tsukyiomi but not as bad as itachi

sasuke had itachi with the sword itachi turned to crows.
he chidoried itachi thru the chair he missed
he did the chidori beam/blade and he missed itachi

itachi hit him with tsukyiomi it didnt do much damage but it had some effect not as much as it did on itachi though but hes ill and his eye was almost blind anyways and he stll continued on fighting.

I mean ur saying just because he has sharinghan ur saying he can auto break genjutsu.

thats kinda like saying:
if i have fire and earth style affinities.
I can use lava style but i dont have a kekkei genkai

even ppl with kekkei genkai have to practice and train their abilities so they can use it against other people with the same ability and know the weakneses of their ability sasuke never trained his genjutsu. but yah back to my anology thats liek saying cuz i have sharingan i can break genjutsu then every nin with 2 elements should be able to combine it and have advance releases it doesnt work that way u gotta practice and use it and sasuke really doesnt train. itachi can break cuz he trained not sasuke

One of the abilities that the sharigan grants is the ability to see through genjutsu.

They couldn't see through Kabuto's Genjutsu though.
