Am fine senpai.....doton is one of the five elemental ninjutsu,i would like to learn it cause it has the a wide range of use just like water and unlike fire it has a lot of defensive jutsus and a lot of creative and awesome jutsu that can help to change a battle putting the target into lots of danger like using jutsus like swamp of the underworld,earth golem etc. I guess that all

Now, could you please tell me everything you know about doton. What is doton exactly, the strengths, weaknesses, KGs created with doton, a few earth users in the nv, the relationship between the terrain you're fighting on and earth release. ^^

Earth is one of the basic 5 element which deals with the user manipulating already existing rocks or create new ones through their chakra, Earth users have been shown to be able to change the characteristics of earth easily like making it soft,making it hard,making it heavier, making it lighter
The users of the elements are most in the land of stone(Iwagakure ),Earth is usually used for defensive measures 90% of the time,since its a solid stopping all other elements from passing. Earth users have been shown to be strong and are agile and mostly slow
The earth element is strong against water since earth absorbs water and also weak against lightning as this crumbles the earth
Earth is used with water for wood release
With fire for lava release
Strong users of earth include oonoki,Mu,Hashirama,Yamato and Kakashi

It seems that you understand it quite well, one more thing is the relationship between earth release and the terrain. If you're fighting on the ocean, there would be many earth techniques you're not able to use, because most of them need an earth source as well. Not all of them though. And the 90% thingy is a bit exaggerated

okay, let's 'discover' this doton chakra.
I want you to sit down on the ground. Grab the nice round stone next to you, close your eyes and meditate. Try to feel what the stone feels like. The coldness, the texture, structure. Let your chakra flow, and concentrate on the stone. Try to 'communicate' with the stone. Let your chakra flow into the ston and try to mimic the stone with your chakra. Tell me what the earth chakra felt like.

I quicly sit on the ground and grab a good stone holding it within my palm, i then begin to meditate and think about earth, i feel the earth the texture the coldness i then begin to flow chakra into it making my chakra mimic the stone,i then open my eyes and look at senpai 'the earth chakra....it feels rough,rugged,strong and solid'

The first technique

(Doton No Jutsu) - Earth Release Technique

Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

Remember how you were concentrating, trying to communicate with the stone. Focus again and send your chakra into the ground, try to manipulate the earth and create a small pillar. This jutsu might be very handy.


In order to teach you every jutsu to perfection I want to use a template similar to my sensei's template.

• Brief description of how you perform the technique:i begin to build up my chakra i then pass it into the ground nature manipulating it into earth chakra after that i nature manipulate it to form a pillar of earth
• How can the technique be used in battle(combos with other moves/skils,creativeuse,etc): the technique can be used to create a pillar beneath the target to push them up it can also be used to create ninja tools like kunais,shurikens etc
• Advantage(s):the pillar can be used to push opponents up the tools eg kunais are stronger than normal kunais
• Disadvantage(s):the tools made out of it are weak against lightning and can be easily destroyed as it is a low ranked jutsu
• How to counter the technique:it can be countered with any d rank lightnin jutsu,it can also be countered with a d rank wind blast which blows back the ninja tools or water prison to counter the pillar

(Doton: Shinju Zanshu no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique Rank: D Type: Supplementary Range: Short Chakra Cost: 10 Damage Points: N/A Description: The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can easily be decapitated or tortured. Note: user must already be underground through the use of (Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique Spoiler You must be registered for see images

For this jutsu I want you to dig into the ground until you are beneath my clone. Then reach out of the ground try to pull the clone into the ground by his leg until only his head is on the surface, trapping him in the ground while you emerge from it. The funny thing is you can't use it if you don't know the hiding like a mole technique, because that's a technique where you dig into the ground. but for the training let's just say you dig into the ground in some kind of way.

• Brief description of how you perform the technique:i quickly dig into the ground i then go beneath your clone when am right under him i quickly reach for his legs and pull him into the ground leaving only his head out of the earth
• How can the technique be used in battle(combos with other moves/skils,creativeuse,etc): after pulling the target into the ground and coming out the user can use lightning bolt to kill the target or use exploding flame shots or bedrock coffin to squash the target
• Advantage(s): it helps to put the target into a helpless ninja,it can also be used to reduce the jutsu the target performs and leave them in a defenseless state
• Disadvantage(s): it requires the user to go under ground, the user can be noticed by sensory ninjas or by byakugan and sharingan users
• How to counter the technique: the jutsu can be easily countered by not letting the user go under ground or by leaving the ground by jumping up and using phoenix fire sage at the target as the bring out their hand

(Doton: Gansetsukon) - Earth Release: Rock Section Cane Rank: D Type: Supplementary/Offense Range: Short (Mid on throw) Chakra Cost: 10 Damage Points: 20 Description: This technique allows the user to take a small chunk of rock and turn it into the shape of a staff. The user can then use it as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this technique allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

Now grab a chunk of rock laying around on the ground and mold it into the shape of a staff using you doton chakra. Either hit my clone with it, or throw it at his head. A pretty useless technique if you ask me

• Brief description of how you perform the technique: i quickly pick up the stone i used before i then realease my built up doton chakra into it,after that i then shape manipulate the stone into a cane which i throw towards your clone
• How can the technique be used in battle(combos with other moves/skils,creativeuse,etc): it can be used in conjuction with wind style gale paml or fire style phoenix sage
• Advantage(s): it can be used to distract the target
• Disadvantage(s): it can not get up to long range and it is useless
• How to counter the technique: it can be countered with gale palm which still continues towards target with the cane

( Doton: Iwa Rendan ) - Earth Release: Rock Barrage Rank: D Type: Offensive Range: Short – Mid Chakra cost: 10 Damage points: 20 Description: The user will concentrate their chakra into their arm and then release their chakra creating a ring of rocks that are then flung at the opponent.

Channel doton chakra into your arm and release it, creating a ring of rocks. Send the rocks towards my clone by manipulating the earth chakra. Easy

• Brief description of how you perform the technique: i begin to mold my doton chakra i then realease it on my palm nature and shape manipulating it into rings of rock which i send towards your clone
• How can the technique be used in battle(combos with other moves/skils,creativeuse,etc): it can be used in conjuction with gale palm or to distract the target and give them a suprise attack with a silent jutsu
• Advantage(s):multiple rings can be made,it doesnt require any handseal,it doesnt require much chakra
• Disadvantage(s): it is a low ranked jutsu as it can be easily countered with d rank lightning bolts which breaks the ring and continues towards the target
• How to counter the technique: it can be countered with lightning realease lightning bolt or wind realease gale palm which still continues towards the user
