Probably too biased for this one guys, have fun.
Leaning toward Asuma the CQC master actually. CQC is obviously what it comes down to, something Asuma excels in and Kabuto admits isn't his strong suit.
I can't see Kabuto hitting with chakra scalpel given Asuma's massive range. Asuma mid-high diff.
Asuma wins with full knowledge for sure. The first scenario i don't know, i don't remember a lot about Kabuto's jutsu which uses a dead body to fight (but it's not edo tensei) and i don't even remember if that jutsu was just filler.
He could if he gets him from behind with hiding like a mole.
Its canon. Used it against kakashi when trying to kill Sasuke and used it on sai against yamoto and company.
Kabuto is more versatile. His reflexes are one of the best we've seen throughout the series. Asuma displays brute/macho strength, nothing about his style illustrates complex versatility. Therefore, I'd give Kabuto the advantage. Kabuto may have stated his CQC was lackluster, however I believe his was being modest, considering his opponent at the time. His movements are elegant/swift, so evading Asuma's movement wouldn't be much of a challenge.
Except for the fact that Kabuto got pummeled by P1 Naruto.

But fought on par with Kakashi and shat on a rusty Tsunade.
