As Keotsu approached Tsunade's office, Asuma stepped out. "Ah, there you are Keotsu. I was just coming to get you. Oh, and you brought Rena. Thanks you just saved me two trips. Come on in." said Asuma. Keotsu and Rena looked at each other confused.
As they walked in, Keotsu noticed Sakura standing inside as well. "Good, your all here." Tsunade said. "Um...Ma'am? Can I ask what's going on?" asked Rena. "I'm just about to get to that." she started, "Ever since Sakuse's" Keotsu noticed a sudden drop in enthusiasm from Sakura, "desertion, and Naruto leaving to train with Jiraiya, we've been short a squad. Then, Keotsu appears, and has proven a capable shinobi. Soon afterwards, he rescued Rena. Now, we have three extra shinobi." she started.
"I am taking you out of Asuma's squad, Keotsu, and putting you, Sakura, and Rena in a formation I'm calling ESP. It means: Extra Shinobi Phenomenon. Its rare to have an odd number of genin. Keotsu, you will still be called away with away with Asuma. Now all I have to do is assign a Jounin to your squad..." she said. "This is perfect!" said Keotsu.
"What do you mean?" asked Tsunade. "Back in the Wave County, Rena said she saw and ANBU from our village, and he said that he was going to the Cloud Country! We can go there, with a Jounin thats free to tag along, to retrieve him. If he agrees, we'll have a jounin for our squad!" said Keotsu. "Hmm... And if he declines?" asked Tsunade. "Well we at least need to try..." said Keotsu.
"I'll go." said Asuma, "I'm on stand by now anyways, and I'm curious as to Keotsu's and Rena's abilities myself." "That's fine then. You leave in 2 hours. First, Rena, what are your abilities?" asked Tsunade.
"Well, I know a lot of jutsu from our village, not as many as Keotsu though, also I know some medical jutsu that I learned in the Mist village. I'm also skilled in genjutsu." said Rena. "Hmm, so an all range fighter, two medical ninja, a genjutsu user, Asuma, and four smart minds. I don't see anything wrong with that. Keotsu, do you know any medical ninjutsu?" Tsunade asked.
"Kinda sorta. I know one that is affected by the amount of nature near by. Its called Nature's Gift. Rena knows Nature's Blessing, which is a better version of the jutsu. I'm good with salves and medicines though; you kinda have to when your traveling alone." he said. "Hmmm, good. Go get ready, all of you. This is an A-rank mission. Find the mysterious ANBU member." Tsunade declared.
Keotsu and Asuma where standing by the main gate as Rena and Sakura approached laughing. "Everyone ready to go? Its going to be a three day non-stop trip to get to Cloud Country." said Asuma. "Yes!" the three of them replied as they started out.
It had been three days, and they had been separated during the monsoon that surrounded Keotsu now. He could see the lights of the village some miles away, so he headed towards there hoping he could meet back with the others there.
Keotsu heard a whirring noise at first, and then, "Rasengan!!!" he heard as a figure cloaked in red rushed by. "What the heck?!" said Keotus, jumping out of the way. As he landed he saw a red cloaked figure with three tail-like things. He recognized it as the blond haired boy he had met with the old man. "Naruto?" he asked. The boy just growled.
Naruto pulled out a kunai as Keotsu did. Keotsu stood in a defensive stance, and prepared him self for battle. The lightning struck and the two rushed towards each other.
