chidori not only shattered the defence but injured him so dunno what you are talking about, he was bleeding, something that didnt happen against lee.

OT: Pretty obvious..despite everything Lee did against auto sand shield Gaara, we all saw the way Gaara walked out of that battle. Spotless, neat.
IMO, Lee with gates was the strongest in that chuunin exams...no one else would have been a match for Gaara.

Hardly.Naruto beat Gaara but was beaten by Sasuke so Sasuke>Gaara

Sasuke never beat Gaara. He just made him bleed. Sasuke could not take on Gaara in full power while Naruto could. Therefore Naruto > Sasuke. Believe it!
And that very same Naruto was beaten by Sasuke later on when he acquired control of the curse mark

Why are people saying Base Gaara>Sasuke? You guys do realise that Gaara went unconscious, right? He was saved by his siblings after that. He lost, there's nothing to debate.

Keep dreaming kid. When Gaara got hurt by Sasuke's Chidori, he was sleeping to get more power. We all know what happen once he woke up again. Sasuke was running out of chidori, while Gaara was growing a tail. It took Naruto to give him a beating to have him go full power.
As weak Sasuke is he laid low on the floor, while he watched a stronger shonobi face off the enemy. One of those useless moments for "Sasuke-Kun".

They dont because Naruto was also given Kurama which is a very torturing process few survive and its unnatural in that respect too.Lets remove all power ups from the equation which is the Academy and Sasuke soloed Naruto there
Sasuke was also not fighting with full killing intent thats why they show at the end that he decides not to kill him to awaken his MS.
You are also forgetting that the curse mark had traumatised Sasuke
Even if this is true, this is basically an acknowledgement from Gaara that he needed Shukaku to beat Sasuke. Sasuke was speedblitzing him and was capable of wounding him. Gaara either got knocked out by Sasuke due to the pain of the wound or he voluntarily gave in to Shukaku because he knew he was fighting a losing battle. And Sasuke was capable of wounding Gaara in his shukaku form in the forest, as well, which accelerated Gaara's transformation even further before Naruto came into the picture.

Actually, i'm pretty sure Neji has a chance to beat Gaara, without the latter giving in to Shukaku. Naruto could also overwhelm him with clones.
Dunno what's with the debates about Sasuke vs Gaara. Gaara passed out shortly after his wound, and if Sasuke wanted to, he could've just immediately charged Gaara with another Chidori to finish him off. All of that was achieved without Sasuke using CS. It's only after Gaara recuperated and Shukaku started appearing that Sasuke lost.
