First, it's only a damn picture. Usually, most people (including me) use pictures that they find appealing or of characters/people they like. If girls fall in that category, what's wrong with that?

Even I could say that for using a Naruto's avy, you're pretty g** for using a guy avatar. But just that statement would be utter stupidness and completely senseless, yous reflexion is the same - pointless.

Whether someone use a picture of a guy, a girl, an anime character, a lesbian/gay person, I think there's something called liberty of expression. As long as it's as per the rules (no offensive pics), it's none of your business and fully those people's right.

in a nutshell--the way i see it, using an avatar represents who you are as a person (for the most part). that's not true with everyone, but to me that's what "avatar" means.

lol. ok, ok. i have no right to "give" orders, and i apologize if i sound like i did. Like i said, my wording for the beginning of the thread may not have come out the right way. when you are typing rather than speaking to someone, things not only get confused but they go sour very easily. "you gotta stop it" was just something going through my head at the moment, i didn't think in a million years it'd be taken as an "order" cuz who am I? then again, this is the very nature of thread making--you have an opinion, and you may or may not be hated for it, but sometimes "meaning" and "apparent meaning" are so different it's not even funny. so whatever you take from this, i truly mean no offense.

what u say is true. People can use what they want, and that's fine. but do i have to be the bad guy for having the opinion that it'd be easier/better for people not to misrepresent themselves? i mean, when it comes down to it, that's really my biggest point--that that's how i feel.
