The easier he gets in drunken mode the more his alcohol tolerance is low, the lower it is the easier it is to get alcohol poisoning

It's a sip because his resistance is low, look at Guy he drinks lot more yet he does not enter drunken fist so quick

Less quantity needed=lower resistance= poisoning quicker
