one piece, naruto, dbz are three very very different styles of anime/manga. ( i would mention bleach and the other, but i haven't watched that much of it, irealy want to)

one piece, is a mixture of serious, funny, comedy, strong plot and mature characters. well developed females and good plot relavance.

naruto is about dealing moving out emotional struggles, and overcoming any test. it deals iwth things that trouble the mind adn is very encouraging.

Dragonballz is about the will to endure and never give up no matter what happens,

however the main difference in Dbz is that there is pretty much nothing but action, it litterally has a 4 hour fight between freiza and Goku, and due to this there is very little plot in dbz.(well there is but is gets thrown on the back burner
one piece is about a strong strong plot and very little action. naruto is about explaining backstories and fixing problems.

it all is what you like and what you don't. the best anime is whatever you see it is. its that simple
