you can use this defensively to hard your skin against explosions like Kakazu did against Shikamaru, or against a fire attack or a ninja weapon etc.

Raiden gathers his doton charka and sees priest sensei clones approach him, so he slams his hands on the ground channelling his doton charka into the earth underneath them to where they are all about to step next and then manipulates the earth and times its to near perfection so that the rocks emerge under them as they step and slice them in half making all the clones disappear.
offensively: this justu can be used offensively as you can use the rocks that emerge under the opponent so they wont see it and then hurt them pretty bad or even kill them if timed right
defensively: this justu can be used defensively as you can make the rocks emerge to block incoming projectiles or same ranked or lower neutral element attacks
Supplementary: this can be used supplementary as when you make the rocks emerge you can make them emerge close together so you block the eyesight of the opponent and then you can attack underground or send a silent attack to catch them off guard

if you was defending against this justu you would have to use a replacement justu as water replacement to let the attack go through you and not harm you but you could also use a full body surge of lighting as the jaws are about to smash into you as the lighting leaves it would destroy the jaws.
the drawback of this justu is your hands must remain on the floor while the justu is being used leaving you open to attack, I cant think of many drawbacks for this one

Okay about the water transformation, its actually not a safe one. You may end up in a bad situation. For water replacement. Where is the water you want to replace yourself with? Thats a question you should ask yourself. If don't have water around, you can't replace yourself with it.

Okay. It would require you to surround your target with fire(running fire jutsu or something) though not harming them directly but it will prevent them from escaping. Then you will use the earth jutsu. Result is, the jaws while they rise, would carry fire with them and smash against the target.

Raiden gathers doton charka and channels it into the ground and forms a shelter over him and Priest sensei clone making it look sort of like a cavern and then starts gathering katon charka and builds it up in his mouth and fires a wisp of fire to the floor which lights a fire in the cavern so both Priest sensei clone and Raiden could see.
